Im just getting back into poker. I haven't play much for cash I deposited $25 started playing .05/.10 NL tables and won about $50. Then suddlenly I get a bad run getting aces cracked hit flush off flop someone have higher etc suddenly I go down. I then started playing MTTs and not even making any profit. So now im playing bankrollmob freerolls for all three sites mabey after a few months ill get better and learn to fold and play a lot more hands whereas I notice I get the itch to call with nice hands im wondering what u guys would do in my position I usually deposit $25 every two weeks. Im thinking of depositing $100 so ill have abit of leverage cause $25 isn't much. Plz comment or give some tips I have all the time in the world .

Best advice I can give you is investing money in content rather than just gambling it off.
There's no point in depositing over and over again without earning any benefit from it.

Look for a coaching site that features beginner cashgame strategy, buy a subscription, watch the relevant videos for what you want to play and then deposit a bankroll and to start at NL0.01/0.02 and build it up from there (how much you have to deposit to play a specific stake properly is also something you'll learn on a proper site, but I can tell you playing NL10 with $25 is not a good idea).

the biggest and hardest thing for me to do is be patient,I know if I was able to do this I would have a much better chance at winning, and try not to tilt.. Big Smile

yes sir patients is a big key. But u know im still patient but and get so many suckouts vs me .. Ill hit the other has better name of the game I guess. Everyone wins or loss's .. And ppl are spose to lose more then win.

------------
I've also played one cent two cent a lot but never ever got a good profit always get sucked out like I say cash tables are very good to build bankroll but 1 cent 2 cent is just awfull for me I cant build at all.

you are doign it wrong Big Smile

sure everyone can lose their bankroll, no matter how good of a player you are, but to happen that often well... just do some reading, attend some coaching sessions and invitst those $50 in a poker book(s) instead of playing poker for a month Tongue

also, even if you were like really really good player, 25$ is not good enough to play 10NL safely. so you should start at 2nl until your bankroll can support higher stakes
and if at some point you go down again, stop playing 5/10NL and go back to 2nl until you have healthy br again.

tldr:
you shouldnt deposit that often. no, i mean even if you have like $200.000 you dont know what to do with, you still shouldnt do it. Unless you are happy being a recreational player that will act as a food for regs, you should start at lower stakes and ONLY after you become winning player at those, move to next stakes... and so on.

cheers,
theapple

This is false, otherwise no one would make money playing this game.

I think knowing when to fold marginal hands is a very important thing to learn. You cant keep calling with these hands because you will go broke very quickly. Just keep playing and this will become easier to learn when to do and save your money

I do not see a very bright future for you mate of you just deposit 25 dollars every time and you play at NL10...

Always variance will hit you hard and you'll get back to square one, please learn what bankroll management rules say about cash games and on which limits it's okay to play with 25 bucks.

I personally like to play with super safe bankroll (200+ buy-in´s for SNG´s), it makes me play properly(because I don´t play money scared then) and the downswings aren´t hurting that much.

Thanks ddblt that is a good strat ii notice I only have 15 buyins @ $1.50 for sngs 200 buy ins would be a nice number to use that is better u wouldn't be as scared see more flops and perhaps cash more
