That's when it takes a WEE bit of discipline dude... No matter WHAT you have that close to the bubble.... FOLD them unless you have a bigger stack than anyone in on the hand,....OR...
....if you're stack is SO tiny and the other player(s) so huge, that the blind(s) will eat you because they are waiting for it/them to finish you off....
I've found it's best just not to get too greedy in that circumstance... As tempting as it may be, just let 'em go bud...!!!
MOST folds turn out to be the best option,....and the best hand played is the hand you don't play...!

It is one more mystery of poker.Equalls to the suckout mystery of smaller stacks against the big ones.Happens all the time to me.I am sitting at the table and being dealt monster hands AA,KK one after the other.Raising and no one calls.Get angry and curse:one chance to double up has gone. Then comes the nightmare :Again dealt AA one more raise or all-in if i am the smaller stack or i if do not have effective stack but this time a big stack is tired because of me raises and decides to call.So a terrible suckout occurs. Normally i dont mind when has something decent like a pair or AT plus .But when total bullsh1t hands score the knockout is mystery

U cant never fold AA preflop doesnt matter if its bubble or what.. Who wants to just to be in tne money? When u play a tournament you have to be on the top to get a good prize... If you just want to be itm then play some sng I play more aggressive near the bubble just because of guys like you who will be folding every hand and thats the place where u can build up ur stack big to go deep or then u can lose of course.. But im sure if u think all the way its huge +ev
You are stupid if you play for mincash in a MTT, the real money is on the final table, you don´t want to be folding good hands even on the money bubble.

This is always a dilemma as how to play, do you play normally or do you wait for the bubble to burst and just sit back. This all comes down to bankroll and if the thought of losing is more damaging than winning you should fold and wait to hit the money

Don't worry MFZERO! Yesterday I deposited $26 at PokerStars with the bonus code PACK1. I got four $1.10 tickets plus an entry to All In Shootout tornament. Yesterday I received Chrome Star Level. I made 102 VPP.
The Chrome Star Level and the five tickets - I paid the prize - $26. I lost the money, but I have 2 stars now, plus five tickets. It's too expensive, right

I think there's no way you're not getting it AI there with those hands, are you guys nuts??
You have 10k on a table where you're heavily outgunned. The only thing that might have changed my mind is if the other SS on the other tables were significantly smaller or there was a large number of them, meaning you'd be as well to hold on.
But if the money means a lot, like getting ITM is quite key for your BR or whatever, then it's often worth waiting it out. You're going to get called by someone guaranteed every single shove with your stack size, which makes AA and KK weaker.
If losing in one tournament on a bubble (while doing a right move) will damage your bankroll, you shouldn´t have registered for that tournament at all.

Strange,....quoting YOURSELF.... but I made a typo...
...I MEANT to type,....if your stack is SO tiny.... PLAY you killer pocket.... !
I disagree with those guys above who gave you all kinds of reasons to play your cards in that position...
I watch and take note of EVERY time I'm in that predicament,.... If you try to be the big hero, you will most often lose,...particularly if there are more than you and one other in the hand.
There's NOTHING MORE frustrating, demoralizing and tilty than sitting there for 2 or 3 hours ONLY to get whacked at the bubble... ESPECIALLY when you had a fairly decent stack to THEN start going for it ONCE in the money... Your own play you described is testament to what I say. Lose enough like that, and you will,...., and you'll learn your lesson, and THEN it will sink in...
A number of little bits, add up to a LOT over time,...but not if you keep getting knocked out 2 minutes from making SOMETHING...!
A number of LOSSES right at the bubble, add up to MUCH lost over time.
You're RIGHT AT the Bubble dude.... Why blow it when somebody sucks out at the bubble and kills you.....?
If you're a long way from the bubble,....do it,....if you're just inside the money,....do it,....but not at the bubble unless like I mentioned above.
...but then again, I'm no pro,...I just know that aggressive players REALLY want your chips in that spot....Just don't give them to him or her....!

Made a small dent in my $20+BR buy-in was $1 +rebuy+addon(90cents each)
Not disappointing in losing the buy-ins, just disappointing about not finishing ITM and finishing higher up.

dont just shove your monster hands prebubble, unless you got like 7 passives at ur table even kk/aa are just a pair, and any 2 cards could win it postflop.
Raise and revaulate on the flop. if you have kk and you flop A high, you obviously cant keep on betting big as any A beats you now. Same if you see Q/J high flop and someone all out of sudden shoves (while being just that happy to call your raise at first).
And yea sometimes that really works, to leave the table and do something else for 10-15 mins (if you got a healthy stack), its a guarantee to get itm, but with a big downside... you cant use your big stack advantage to amass chips because thats the easiest time to get some more chips, being a bit more aggressive just before bubble bursts

People who fold this big hands at the bubble have absolute no clue whats poker about.
Offcourse you play this AA, just a 100% no brainer, also KK/QQ/AK are simple shoves. I also play hands like JJ/TT/AQ/AJ/KQ at this spot being that low.

Sure.....PLAY them and assess the table,.....

So I'm in a FT/BrM earlier. Bubble and big blind coming, 2 to my right I think it was, I'm extemely short stacked. I get QQ. It's a no brainer,...very unlikely to get better. Play the QQ and win enough to survive into the money...
Next hand I get AA. I am 154th right on the bubble. I see someone else has just gone out. It's 50/50 whether or not I will be in the cash, or the other person.
Q J 10 comes. I have top pair & gut shot.
I would normally fold,...but just to prove a point I shove knowing I'll most likely get beat
BAM..... OUT at 154.... Bubble Boy...
Should have folded.
Then look at what the idiot Bubble Bozo does in the NEXT hand on the bubble.... Different game 2 hours later....
Bubble Bonehead puts himself out... He got greedy and bullyish.... < lol....

Maannn please tell me you are just makikg jokea......
If not .. Perfect example? Seriously demodawggy? It was the worst aces i have seen played so far I will try to explain myself, that can be hard in this case ..
First of all its a freeroll so ofc everybody plays every hand.. Second u got the nuts preflop with the aces you have what 8-9blinds, two guys limps? Ur sitting in the BB and all you do is check? Of course if you play your aces like this and then u start moaning about the bubble makes sense... U got to change big time your strategy and if the only thing you want is to win 3cents or how much u got for making in the money? Then okay play like this and fold ur aces but man, the hands you showed there is a big leak.. U cant play flops with 8-9 blinds, go for it shove its not fishy to shove preflop, its not a donk move, its the one and only move what you should do! Hopefully you will reply and say that hey man thanks, that makes sense! remember that when u got under 10BB all you should do is all in or fold! Never ever limp!

Posted by demodawggy: That's when it takes a WEE bit of discipline dude...
Umm, discipline here is NOT folding.
Everything you describe is how not to play the bubble and I am sat here wondering if your post is a joke
