Hi - I was excited by Party Poker's Pokerfest... I took some time off and planned a week or 2 of solid poker with reasonably buy ins and good prize pools. Thought I'd start with my fav game - PL Omaha hi... Played in loads of qualifiers for the events and entered the first of the major pokerfest Omaha the otherday... played for an hour until the first break and paid for my add on...... they then paused the game for an hour without explanation and cancelled it. What a shambles the pokerfest is. They refunded the buy ins and add ons, but what a disappointment. Poor show indeed... I'm not sure I'll bother with any of the others... I have only played at Party Poker and no other site - So I joined some others and will be shopping around now. Half of there new missions do not update or register the successes either. Time to take my bankroll elsewhere maybe - disappointing.

That was a technical problem, every site has from time to time, most of the time when new software is on the begining of use.Saw this problem on Ipoker,Unibet,Party,Bwin.Try PokerStars and FullTilt, they have a good software. Good luck

Posted by vic75: Party poker software isn't that good compared too Poker Stars pretty slow and you play too achieve a mission and it never gets updated
I agree with you the software is lets face it terrible, but they do have some very good games and easy too cash in,and always a gaming happening never have too wait, and I can't complain about there fast cash out to there master card, just love getting my winnings quickly.

I was super happy to that Poker Fest is back, and not even long after the last one which was around Christmas last year.
I got into one $5.00 tourneys for 0.50c sadly I was mistaken I thought it was a freezeout, it wasn't. I paid for an Add on but unfortunately I was swallowed up by all the big stacks.
I haven't experienced a flawed pokerfest tourney yet, that would be aweful!! Just wondering if people who had been knocked out of your tourney already were also refunded?
I remember old school PP, they would still pay the prize pool out. Everyone that was still in would get paid in two different amounts.
1st payout - everyone (that was still in) got the same percentage of the pool.
2nd payout - this was aligned with your stack.
Never had a problem with this, the new owners do not subscribe to this theory though it seems.

OK - I gave another one a try... 10K Gtd $20 buy in Omaha Hi. More than I usually pay, but I like Omaha and the 10K Gtd is a good pot. All fine with this one - Got a reasonable start but then stagnated for a bit - just held on through the bubble to get $72 prize - was a bit short stacked and went for it pretty soon after the bubble and bombed out. Nice prizes on final table though - I think I'll play all the other Omaha ones when they come round next week. Would be nice to win one.

These problems exists everywhere..... I play at a few different places and I have to say at the minute that pp is one of my faourites, keeping out some of the big guys like 888 and FTP from my screens, but I am sure the time will come when i switch.
At the end of the day it's like anything, if somewhere p1sses you off you move, but find somewhere else first!

k - knocked out of 2 more pokerfests this week. One VERY early... the other was right near the bubble - I had a good size chip stack and my brain just broke - lol. Went chasing a flush draw and things escalated out of control - Doh! Was a bit cross with myself as it would have been a nice payout and I need a higher bankroll for all these higher enrty fee PF tournies...
More Omaha today - $5- rebuy.... I like the $5 buy and I like the $5K prize pool.... but I'm not sure about rebuys... they are so hectic early on with people going all in as if it don't matter because you can get back in with a rebuy... I can't afford to keep doing that. Can be good if you get a good start, then you can pick and play and make a mint early out of fools that just go all in every hand then rebuy again... but there is a lot of luck involved (for me anyway).

The best way is it to make screenshots and send them to the support, with table,- game- and/or hand numbers. Sometimes you must wait a day for a update of the missions. The pokerfest promo is verry nice and i wish all mobsters good luck at pp.

yea - I like the promo and PP - shame the missions don't work though. I've had that mission active over a week with no update. I think they are on the case though. I contacted them again through the live chat.
------------ Awesome - they have manually fixed it for me and completed the mission. That's a $10 ticket. Would be nice if they worked smoother though and I would enjoy having a go at some of the others.
------------ And... that's the $10 ticket gone in the poker fest comp - busted out about 20 shy of the bubble - Had to take some chances as the blinds were catching me up. Wasn't my day obviously. lol.
They have too fix there mission's issue you get sick and tired with calling customer service and nothing happens too resolve the issue on there end when you know you have completed the mission anyways got 89 from the Party Poker Leader Board all cashed out GL

@vic75, nice of you to cash out, I had a party poker account and cashed out long time ago like 1-2 years ago, can't remember clearly, it might be more, party poker support sucks and they don't care about bugs, if they making money. They take money when you cash out and they have a huge rake and bugs all over their software and not yet resolved.
Anyway enjoy the pokerfest to the original posted if your experience was good with party poker!

Thanks guys - it was my only account for many years. This year I started looking around as I have been playing more. 1 - because of the probs mentioned. 2- because after cashing out some wins i then nearly went bust with what was left.... so I joined here to make the most of sign up bonuses.... as it goes I won a couple of comps and have my bankroll back a bit so have been sticking with PP. I like the look of FullTilt... started out alright there, but have crashed out a bit - still got some cash left there to play with for when I get p'd off at pp again... bound to happen sooner than later - lol.
