Posted by BeMyATMplz: Hey marqis, I have now sent you the $1.10 back. Thanks for helping me out, however my staker wants me to play the tourney on-stake and obv. he has first-claim on all my games.
Thanks anyway, and gl everyone
I was pretty sure it would have been profitable staking you, and it turned out I was right. I'm glad you participated. I felt you were pressuring the blinds quite a lot, which I thought was great, since you were getting away with it, that's why I showed you my 3-bet bluff at one time. I meant no disrespect. In your opinion, was this a correct response? I don't usually show my cards.

Posted by PokerKing76: I was not sure if he send you the amount the way we finish the tourney.
you can keep my $2.20, if you can win more with it go ahead
You've been generous enough already, I sent it back. I'll try to win it off you next time...

He was stealing with a wide range (top 20-25% maybe? - as much as I get to judge, since I've played 2/3 of my time at the other table) so I only played back at him when I've got Ax.
But about that. In my table many playas showed their cards, both when they bluffed successfully and also when they had the overcards but got raised out of the pot.
Sooo, here comes my two cents - also I would mention I'm no way anywhere near to be somebody who should give out advices, so please accept this by knowing that I'm just an idiot...
I get it - showing off is part of building a profile, but I would advise against it. Showing to anybody at your table that you only 3 or 4bet with top 5% or you c-bet with rags is practicaly giving away information about yourself when your opponent didnt payed for it. Yeah, its nice to gather occasional pots with it and leaving some people confused, but I think the long game is that your success will ultimately depend upon discovering your opponents range and not giving away yours for shits and giggles.
Except for pochui of course, who is already a master of disguise.

also big thanks to those who attended the tourney and made it a fantastic one indeed i loved the atmosphere and the game quality, love you all mobbits
probably in the future we should stick to the already well proven 3K starting stack and 1h earlier start time, other than that is was a pleasure to take part in
will transfer your winning some time today. well that's it, it was a nice journey, but it comes to an end- i'm sure we'll meet again and you can marvel once again at my unprecedented quality of play, but for now Happy Easter

@ marqis and bowie: yes I was opening pretty wide, however overall not far as wide as I normally do. I noticed players in this tourney are calling opens much wider than in my usual games. In alot of spots it's +EV to open any2,depending on stats of players and stacksizes behind me. For example "turtlesaur" was to my left, and once blinds got worth it I started stealing on him every hand BvB because he was,in comparison, considerbly tight. In your case m@rqis I stopped opening wide after some time because you defended your BB a bit wide, which is of course an okay thing to do, but yes, 3betting is better and depending on how much the openers opening range and calling range differs, the more you can 3bet, but yes, everything is better than folding to someone having a loose range in that specific spot Bowie also did that very well and did a lot of resteals, you should just rather do that with hands like 76s etc.,they have much better equity against my calling range than Ax Overall it was a fun game, probably shouldn't have grinded SNGs at rhe same time, then I could have enjoyed it even more, but whatever Thanks to pochui for organizing and see you all soon at the tables again hopefully

Sorry i didn't told you anything that afterall i wouldn't be able to participate on this great event from BRM to BRM with lots of mobsters involved, but things have been a little hard for me this easter weekend. But i see it all went well and everybody had a great time together at the tables, that's what matters in these events. Hope you all had a great time! I will try to meet you next time!

@atm, i wasnt actually tight as my sb>bb range is quite wide, and defending bb from sb steals is much wider but it doesnt really include 83o, 92o and such though heck with u being so aggro, at some point id probably raise instead of calling with any 2 suited connectors, or even hands like T9o but it wasnt to be :=P
also gz on ur win pino and ty all who participated and donated, we should definitely do this one more often

Yeah once effective blinds are high enough it's on the other hand +EV to shove my raise with any2,however even if I expect you to shove my open with about 30% (I'd say it's even less than that) then it's profitable to steal with any2,I also do that in SNGs nowdays and my winrate has risen since that. Sure people will shove wider on you than if you open just a normal range, but almost no one will be wide enough on you to make stealing -EV,and that already without considering that you have a raise/call range as well. There are by now a few regs that do, for example, 3bet-shove my open BvB with hands like K4o for example,@ 14BB effective stack (which is actually good by them). To that I have to adapt again of course, but to rake in deadmoney it doesn't depend on your cards, it depends on the villain/-s

First of all congratulations to all the winners.
I had a great time last night(it wass a bit late but still
Posted by bowie1984: Went out 5th by pinotte, it was around 70-30 pre-flop 4 him (but 3betting with 88 - I guess it was a re-steal and I should've fold), so I wasn't that much shocked when he beat me with a runner-runner poker.
GG everybody. We should do it every month. Or two months.
