Not long after I started playing holdem poker, I bumped into this game(2-7) and i just love it. Playing over 4 years triple draw,fixed limits,pot limits,no limit,single draw...all possible variance of this game.Biggest issues on this game and others draw poker games are damn variance(down swings). Long time i fight with this issues,trying find myself and in other games and learn game to make profit. than i see one dutch guy on PokerSars,he grinding on PS and i asked him-can he make profit on this game? He replied positive, but I thought it would then be crowded, when i joined,so i give up.
So I kept looking for a game in which I can make a profit and i think i just finded. Playing maybe 250 games of Hu sng 27 triple draw on FT,notice something unvalivable -no down swings,up swings,variance,bad beats -just two guy with 1500 chips each with equal chance to winning -Who is a better,with more experienced, concentrate on this time is will probably win lets play-and one thing you must remember this game is game of position,in any other game position is not so important as the 2-7 triple draw,because we are in position collect value information to see how many draw opponent do. INTRODUCE OPPONENTS -dont need any tracker,HM or any tools for this,just play tight first few hand to introduce opponents 1.first hand deal blinds are 15/30 i started holding 9 8 J 5 7-just check,opponent raise i check -he draw 3 cards
-Ok now we introduce him,this guy is obviously aggro maniac, -He reraise out position and draw 3 cards chasing for nuts,its like in holdem,when player on SB holding some weak cards going reraise 4-5 time pot size and just hope to be lucky hit something on flop,but in this game its different,because we have value information seating on right position.He can be lucky and hits something few times,but in long run,we hits more often playing in right position and collect pot ,not with some nuts,we probably need just 9 pat -after he draw 3 cards -i draw one card from my hand 9 8 J 5 7,draw J i have 72% chance to hit my card and stand with my pat 9,but with this hand i just play tight -after drawing he probably continue with raise,if i hit any 4 3 2 i reraise him and see what he do after second draw,if he draw 2 or more i continue raise after second draw ans see how many cards he draws on last change,after last draw,dont raise,only check and collect pot,more times you do it this on right position probably you win the game -playing out position with aggro is only with premium hands like 8 or 7 pat,not drawing to many cards 2.Tight passive player -if he play on position,after second draw he dont raise,but stay pat,you probably play with tight passive player -its easy play with thats players,they more often fold,no matter of position,they just want hit something big to beat and this cant happend more than 3-4 times during game and they dont collect huge pot,because youre recognize them and just fold when they reraise,youre job is just to collect more pots during the game,staying pat with 10 9 reraise playing aggressive in position,when they came under 1000 chips,they lose concentration and start blame gods,software,f##king dealer,anyway its easy after they tilted 3.Regular We have 2 types of regulars players .Ones who dont recognize importance of position in HU sng,player who playing long time on cash tables and concentrate only on holding cards,knowing how play with higher pat,we play with them just like with aggro-maniac,but more more longer -regulars They know all about positions,have many experience,skills,playing just right card in position,we probably play long time with them and reach 200/400 blinds 4.Player who missed the game -Yes,its weird,happend to me few times,guy came and stay PAF!!!wtf is happend,what i must do? they just missed the game,than i feel like Poker God,control the game,Nobody can feel like me on poker during this game,i never have that feeling playing holdem,omaha,stud or any other game
ps:for non-experience players -Ace is high -Straight is high -flush is high One time playing pot limit 27 guy raising pot-bet i pay with 9 pat,guy shows 23457,but all diamonds,start crying and call moderator to stop play,he didnt know flush is high....he play over 2 years on higher stacks.nice! Yea 2-7 triple draw is funny and there are a lot of fishes in micros

Well a long post and lot of wisdom, but my advice to go on to other game is to think carefully about it first and take stats about how you play the new games , you can try several games and check how you doing. And if you are not making money it would be a better idea to give up on the losing games you are playing. The first thing before making money is to not lose money one single rule that can help you that I found out by experience.
i quit playing those omaha hi low since I was losing money on it. And can make some profit on normal poker if I play well now!
