Yeah, I guess, but a couple of us would have chip in anyway (this time not with $1-5 bucks, more...) so we could make up the gap in the prizepool so this is just going to be a semi-official BRM home game but with a totally legit winnings, but nevermind.

How many players would you deem acceptable then? The Easter game had 23(?) players; and great +EV. This one does not have the special occasion, nor the prize pool, so obviously you should expect less than 23 to join. 14 already voted positively, I'd say that is pretty good, considering...
I'm one of them b.t.w. (and I don't feel 14 is too few).
Maybe we could do a HU tournament again... That was great fun a few years ago...

Around 2 dozen like the easter game had. But here's the thing, 14 people reacted with a yes vote, theres not really a good chance that more than 60% of them going to actually show up to the game five or six weeks from now.
So that is why I would have consider this a success if we got votes between 30-40. So, half of them actually would have show up. There's just isn't enough interest. Some mobbits already told this is going to happen in the other topic and they got that one right.

Is there anyway the admin could give out mob point prizes instead of money or something? Then we all could have more regular home games(Once a month maybe) and Pochui could set up free entry(Maybe tiny BI). Just a thought.
Then again, having just a few a year adds to the magic of our home games.

Nobody would want that administrative burden if I had to guess. Besides they wouldn't make a competitor series to the leader.boards anyway.

i remember it was a brm hu championship right? yeah i was thinking about such format and bout making this one a regular addition to easter and xmas home games... it's different than those home games, so it would complement them very well.
i think this has to be set up similarly- with the buyins in mobpoints (200 or so) so we would be a nuisance for admin, but maybe he will agree to this (it's only once a year right). any additional donations can be added as well if anyone wants it. i think all the hu games should take part in "rigged place" so anyone can have a check on the results... doable.
one more thing- bowie, you're doing a great job here don't mind the low amount of responses, there are not a lot of regular readers of the forum... the official world record record of mobbits in a tourney was 72 ( http://www.bankrollmob.com/forum.asp?mode=thread&id... ) and we had home games with less than one table...

Okay, okay I'm sold. It would be a one time thing, not a series. But the payout should be points too, and the prizepool would only contain the points which we 'used' here for the buy-in - just to keep this absolutely clear this way. And the buy-in for the tourey could be an option on the USE POINTS subpage where the BI for the safe shots and the draw happen too, along with the cashouts...
If Admin is game, then we could work this out I think.

If you want to ask questions about the mob points HU tourey option, well I definitely recommend to wait until the next thread about it comes to life, since I probably will not be the one who establish it. So lobbying for it in this topic will achieve nothing for nobody. That's all.

BOWIE..... Thanks for your efforts on this matter. It just goes to show how difficult it is at times to do anything that pleases enough people to make a difference, especially when you think that all you did was try and arrange a poker game for people who like to play poker!

thanks bowie for giving it a go... outcome doesn't matter really- you showed a great gesture and that deserves a and so dear mobbits next home hame before x-mas will happen on x-mas. you have plenty of time to save for some serious donations so i can finally screw everyone for good and make Peter look like a kindergarten thief and not a transfer master/legend he is today
