Haha, yeah I been called a few things, doesn't bother me, I just think less of that person.. Haha, if I feel like it, I might even stir a bad loser up, especailly if I made a bad call and win and they crack it, if I'm in the mood, I'll just go along with it, see how much angrier they'll get.
Though in saying that, I think it's terrible that people say these things, arrogant mainly. They need to get over themselves/the game. If they aren't having fun anymore, they shouldn't be there.
If I get a bad beat against me, worst I'll type into chat is something like "lol" or "haha - nice one" - acknowledgement at most really.
The other day I was playing a SNG 10 seater, I was chip leader, down to last 5 ppl, I was in front by more than 4x the next largest stack, I basically had most the chips. Anyway, this hand I get dealt A4os and the smallest stack goes all-in and the next smallest calls and re-raises so he's all-in too, the other two fold. Now, normally I wouldn't call this, except, even if I lost I really didnt stand to lose much of my stack, way i figured, in a SNG it was worth calling it to put two people out of the game with very minimal risk to me since they were all-in for about a 12th of my stack.
Anyway, one of them had AKos and the other had AJs. Flop comes rainbow 2,3,5 giving me a little straight - they didn't improve on turn/river so I win putting them both out. Anyway, one guy doesn't leave the table and calls me a fish (donkey probably the term he was looking for) i figured he was about to leave and just replied "lol - way it is sometimes" anyway, this guy remained on the table as a (vocal) observer remainder of the game, he just sat there typing abuse to me telling me crap i was etc for the whole rest of the game. If anything, it made me feel better, because it just kept reminding me this a-hole was out of the game and on a bad beat too. But seriously, what a jerk - that sort of behaviour is not cool. For that matter, those of you who call anyone anything nasty (donkey, fish, etc) - not cool - you should stop it - it's really poor game.

Like other replying to this post Ive been called several names. Those I don't remember comes from various languages such as French or Italian but I don't mind that much. I am usually that person talking a lot at tables so ppl don't seem to get that offensive but one think I don't like is someone pushing through 3 streets and I call him/her down with say overpair without raising. Then suddenly they feel like being cheated or something and start calling me names. Well, from time to time I might answer but honestly - that doesn't mean much... If I get that pot I build I am happy guy. If you get lucky - well you are a fish but I like to have fishes in this sea of poker

In a huge chiplead, this is your privilege to call with not so great hands. A4o is better than most hands you could call with. Good call.
I think you need to put a bit of context behind it all.
In freerolls those that sit abusing daylights out of people for bad calls really are pitiful. Its cost them nothing to be there and it is, to all intents and purposes, just a bit of fun.
Where however I do understand peoples annoyance is when its cash games, and theres real money involved.
I was in a game, only a $5 buy in but at the level I play at $5 is a sizeable sum. I have played tight as anything and managed to build up a semi decent stack. its getting close to the money when I pick up A K off suit.I raise 5 times the BB pre flop and the BB calls me The flop comes over A K ( both hearts ) and a rag, but theres no flush there only the draw... its just about the perfect flop for me.. The BB makes a pot sized bet and I decide that, because of the draw, I am going to take the pot down there and then. So I go way over the top and put my entire stack in teh middle. For him to call me he would have to put in about 20k of his remaining 21k stack. He makes the call..
Sure enough hes got 2 4 hearts.... Hes put virtually his entire stack in the middle on a draw...
Well you know what happens. He hits a lucky heart on the river and out I go..
I was 5 spots away from the money. I'd invested a bit of my bankroll and alot of time and good play into that game, and some idiot with absolutely no idea of what hes doing comes along and KOs me making what has to be the worst call you can make in poker.
Needless to say, I wasnt polite.. I was livid.. Not because I lost the hand, because that happens, but because I'd been beaten by an idiot who made a call that no one with half an ounce of poker experience would make. That is sheer donkey play. The stuff you see in freerolls when people dont care..
Someone at the table typed BUT BUDDY THATS POKER.. To which my response is simple. No its not poker. Its BINGO...
If you cant comprehend pot odds, and rely solely on luck then you shouldnt be playing buy in games. No one with half a brain shoves in their entire stack on a draw.... Its the worst kind of player going, and sadly theres just so many of them nowadays that will call any raise pre flop with two suited cards and will then go all in after the flop hoping to get lucky....

I find it utterly amazing how many people on this thread have defended the offensive language/slandering of other players...
And talking crap in chat is different then being a bad loser and calling someone an idiot/donkey/fish/etc it really is. If you use abstract forms of abuse, like "so's your face" or 'your momma' jokes.. etc.. it's not so personalised and deliberately offensive..its just talking s**t
But like the one I've just qouted, who's defending it and calling the other a bingo player. I'm sorry, but they (the person at table) was right, it IS POKER> that IS WHAT YOU WERE PLAYING NOT BINGO YOU WERE PLAYING POKER OK????
when you decide to "take down the pot" because you think they prob have a flush draw and you have two pair already and you know the odds are mathamatically (not by a lot mind you) in your favour and you go all-in you KNOW FOR A FACT the someone also has the option of making a GAMBLE and calling you - you could be bluffing, they might be feeling lucky, who knows, who cares. it's their choice. Does it matter??
Serisouly, IT IS POKER. Thats the game - if it's not, why do you think the client software allows them to do it ??? Did you accidently install a bingo patch ??? no i think not. Poker is what poker is. Learn to love it as it is. It everyone played a perfect maths game ironically the game would become entirely 100% luck. Think about that, because it's true.
anyway, i just think bad-mouthing other players is true poor form. And on another note, here in australia, if you pull that kinda crap in live games/venues then you're likely to get booted out and eventually banned form venues. I play a few free pub league games and that sort of behaviour is always strictly not tolerated.

I been called a fish for making marginal calls, which is a bit stupid seeing as ive never played like a fish in my life (maniac ftw)
