I'm really liking that ZOOM poker thing on PokerStars,...or any of the sites for that matter...
So for today's Summer Challenge on PS, you had to win 3 hands at 'Showdown'... so I bought into a ZOOM game for $1 thinking..."No problemo,...3 showdowns... pffffffft....!"
...Well,...a few minutes and a few showdowns later... DOINK... I'm out...
...okay, so I buy in for another $1 kick at the can...
...Well,...a few minutes and a few showdowns later... DOINK... I'm out...
...okay, so I buy in for another $1 kick at the can...
...okay,....so now THIS time around,...my stack is dwindling away and I'm starting to think how the words ZOOM and Vacuum rhyme.... and ZOOM is the sound a vacuum makes as it's sucking bills out of your wallet...
...but then,...Oh HEY,...I win a hand at showdown,....then a few hands later,....BING,....I win another,... So now I have 2 of the 3 I need...
...but then....DOINK ...out I get put...!
....Okay,...trying to get this challenge for the Shootout is starting to rapidly become an expensive venture...but I only need ONE more showdown win... SO,...
I buy in ONCE more....
...THEN,....things REALLY took off,....win after win after win after win after win...
...before I knew it, I had $4.40, and my ticket for Shootout #7 and 7 challenges complete...
PLUS $8.81 profit from the challenges,...PLUS another $3.85 from $100K Priviledge freerolls as a bonus for using the 100K code for depositing for challenge #1,...for a grand profit total from this promo of $12.65...

I usually Grind with Zoom tables and play tight, once in a while you will hit an awesome hand and double or triple up...I use it to grind to Silver when I have a bankroll.

Zoom poker is super thight. I grinded it for a lot until I realised it wasn't worth it because I can get a substantial amount of volume at the regular tables that have way softer competition, therefoe possibiliting higher win rates. But grinding those was fun nontheless

Far be it from me to tell you what to do demo but I'd be careful on those zoom tables if I were you. Yes you can turn a nice profit in a short length of time but, equally, you can lose it quickly too. I'm speaking from experience having lost three bankrolls that way.

yeah same here lost some bankroll to Zoom/rush and so on, they are the reason i lose money as i go nuts when i get tilted and play more tables and then do all the things that you should not like limping and so on instead of playing tight and aggressive and let other people donate you the money. You should have standard lines when playing zooms and not too much big leaks like limping as you will play lots of hands and this is a sure way to lose your bankroll like me. So be careful with the zoom which might give lots of profit but it can also make you lose lot of money!

I love speed tables(If it is within your bankroll as I have had some really bad times when not) I actually seem to do better than normal tables these days and of course I get much more volume then I would on the slow tables. Also these tables are great for getting status points(On whichever site) faster especially if you have a bonus or a wager needing finishing fast.

I think ZOOM is responsible for improving my overall game --It lets me see tons of starting hands I zoom in and out till I get a decent hand to play, I get to see more flops faster If I dont like what I see Im gone and in the next hand,I dont stick around hoping to hit that 1 or 2 outer

Hey ya,....there ARE definately pros and cons to the ZOOM thing,...and ya like zero and the boys say,....it'll suck your bankroll PRETTY fast if you're not carefull...
I like being able to quickly skip through the junk though... Figure I was pretty lucky to quick get back over what I spent for a 'tiny' profit..... but TODAY....on the SnGs for the Challenge,....bombed out 3 in a row playing GOOD stuff and missed todays challenge...
Well,...only need 3 more anyhow,....about 20 left to choose from...
