So i have done something quite similar to this before and that turned out in a really nice profit for me and i thought why not try it again but now a bit different
I decided to set a new challenge to my self regarding the FTP Jackpot sit and go's.
I will Deposit 25-30 Bucks from my profits at pokerstars into my FTP account and start playing at the 1$ Jackpot sit and go's and have the following goals set for myself :
[] win 5 games in a row [] win a game for atleast x6 my BI [] make a BR of 80$ to bump up to the 2$ BI ones [] make a BR of 400$ to bump up to 5$ BI ones [] pay for my study with profits cashed out from poker (not a must but would be cool to say poker funded my study [] Hit the jackpot of atleast x100 BI.
Maybe it is not a correct way of Bankroll management or people ask why put it into Hyper games but we will see how it turns out and i will keep the people who are interested up to date
O well you dont have to do the bankrollmanagement But when u dont you have to know you can faster broke then ever. You can always takes shots iff u dont mind that you maybe loose it, But it can also work for you and you get descent cards during the game....

I can not really seem to find it on the FTP website maybe its me being blind or maybe its not really obviously there :X could indeed be more than regular
------------ Allright i just made the first goal : i won a game for 10x my BI. i was unlucky at the beginning and got a bit shortstacked 300-500-700 but my luck turned after spiking a full house against two pair and eventually took it down with some agressive play with some nice cards

Cheers mate good luck with your challenges this is how you can get motivation and play poker, put some good challenges with easy one , some medium one and some difficult ones and if they are to difficult adjust them to lower but still challenging but do not put one which is impossible to do, as you will lose motivation and then lose money on the way. Anyway mate have fun at the tables and good luck, keeps us updated on how you doing would be good to see how you doing and how you stay in the long term with the challenges!

I really wish you to hit all your goals. The one thing i didnt get is why it would be cool saying you paid for your studies from poker earnings. Would be less cool, if you were saying that you paid your studies by working at the same time? More respectable for me.

Then i can say no more here. Plus one But i believe that if you had the same amount of money to pay for your studies, both from work and poker, you would choose the poker to pay for it just to brag Anyways good luck with everything.
Posted by marqis: Has anyone actually calculated the rake on these jackpot SNGs?
I did see a breakdown on how often certain multipliers were given, but not what the actual rake is when you take all that into account.
My feeling is that it might be more than usual, since it's not immediately clear how much rake is taken.
I decided to calculate it myself, and actually the rake is pretty good; For the $1-$10 levels it works out to 5% rake (e.g. $0.95+$0.05). For the $50 level it's 4% rake, i.e. $48+$2
These seem to be the lowest raked games they have... I'm not sure if they will stay that way, once they've gained enough popularity, but it seems pretty fair now.
