The Triple Crown is the title bestowed upon a player who wins a European Poker Tour title, World Poker Tour title, and World Series of Poker bracelet. Only five players have earned this accolade, but there are 55 players who need just one more part of that triumvirate to join the pack. Ever since the the inaugural European Poker Tour (EPT) event in Barcelona in 2004 - poker’s Triple Crown was born. In 2015, the Global Poker Index, CEO, Alex Dreyfus, will unveil the Global Poker Masters. PokerStars have the trademark on the phrase ‘World Cup of Poker’ so to steer clear of a legal minefield, let’s refer to the Global Poker Masters as the ‘Ryder Cup of Poker.’

they should change the name, because thats the name of a famous horse race held here in canada, the same horse has to win all 3 races to receive the triple crown

Well it will be the triple crown for poker It will not be a hard thing to say for which one is someone talking about. Not to mention that in global terms the poker is more recognised, since every country feeds its own horses
