only hands to fear are AA and KK flipping against a pair and crush every other hand
how in the world you call this an overrated hand ?
the problem is not with the hand itself but how players play it
some would call big flop bet when the flop comes queen high hoping to hit and then they complain about AK some would 4-bet with AK , it is not AA , just call the 3-bet and take a look at the flop
saying this i have lost maybe with AK more than ive won , i still blame myself not the hand , well i blame my luck too

Yeah AK can looks overrated if you over play it it is just two high cards and if you does not hit the flop you have nothing and even got beats by a low pair , so be careful when you play AK, if you hit TPTK, bet , bet , bet until they bet and you fold because at the lower level they tend to be honest and this can make you get money easily if you play straightforwards, anyway mate, good luck at the tables and hope you have more luck with the AK hand!

Some times it is, some others it isnt. For many it is a hand for all in preflop no matter the stage of the game, for others, a hand for betting big, with follow up bets. And it is more than a few times i have seen that hand destroys someones game, even mine

I do not think, that AK is an overrated hand. I usually have good experiences with it. When the blinds are pretty high compared to your stack size I normally push all in with AK and in most cases the others fold.

Need to raise properly to avoid lesser combinations of cards, those you fear so much, and people with A lesser kickers will stay and those with pockets. If you are in troubles then AK will do just fine, if you are doing good even folding KK later on is not a bad idea. The furthest i got on turneys was when i folded KK but bluffed with 3,2 it always depends on situation, as talking about AA, cant know for certain unless the situation is in your advantage (chip stack, position, who you play against...).
