Full Tilt Parts Ways With Gus Hansen & Viktor Blom

In December 2013, Full Tilt Poker announced that Tom "durrr" Dwan was no longer a part of its The Professionals. A few days ago, many poker fans over the globe noticed that Viktor Blom and Gus Hansen's pictures had been removed from Full Tilt Poker's website and poker client - which started some speculations on whether they also had been removed from the The Professionals. Its no surprise to me that these players sponsorship deals have come to an end and i think that we will be seeing a lot more from this and other sites. Do they really need big name players to advertise their sites?

Date all wrong in the news , it says December 2014 or is it and old piece of news, from what i know they still here so it should read December 2014 and so on, but anyway getting rid of Gus Hansen is a good move as he keeps losing money and they cannot pay a losing player to represent them.

But for Viktor is a god, guess they making full tilt a fish zone with no regulars and professionals and casinos on full tilt for recreational players to give them the money. Anyway just re read the news, forget about the Dce 13 thing. I got it now! Big Smile

I have no idea how much sponsorship money Gus Hansen and Victor Blom were earning at full tilt but it can't be that much compared to what they earn elsewhere playing poker so I can't see this hurting them too much.It looks like full tilt are sliding towards being more of a casino with poker room.

Gus has not been seen at the online high stakes games for a month, and as a direct result, the traffic in those games has reduced dramatically. Blom has also moved from Full Tilt to PokerStars this month, and it seems what little action there is has gone with him to Stars. For the last two years it seems like the action in these games have revolved around Hansen, and given that he has lost over $17 million since Full Tilt relaunched, it is easy to see how he has propped up an entire poker economy.

trying to understand logic of the sheep that must be guided. why in the world there was the need for a 'pro' to maintain this activity?
in any business when millions were lost with no recovery, the unfortunate guy behind it can't be called experienced/pro or business men anymore and in my pov he became a bad advert for overall po.ker and F.ull T.ilt. for many (cash) players, po.ker is a business and Gus example is nowhere near bankroll management/business protection.
