Good thing you spotted it.

As always, it's very important to check where links goes to etc, when its about money or access to your money/creditcards. Usually mails from ebay, paypal, moneybookers etc, would also include your name/username in the greeting or in another way and they would NEVER ask for your password.

Nice try.

The real problem with moneybookers is, that they send you an e-mail every time you receive money, but if your account gets depleted, they stay silent. Aww crap!

So you have to check your balance from time to time to make sure that no money has "disapeared".

And 145€ ??? What a joke.

I usually have "won" 500.000 $ or € if I have those mails in my inbox. Big Smile

Only link that I use when accessing MB is one in poker room. Everything else is out of the question.

Hey, do you think that sending a scanned copy of the front and back of your credit/debit card to your online payment method is very safe? Who did that before? And to which one ( Online payment method )?

I'm not going to give Moneybookers, my credit/debit card. I have outgoing transaction limit 9652.20 CAD which is plenty. Verify your credit/debit card + 8043.50 CAD which no point for me.

For the email, its not from moneybookers, its from moneybooker.biz which is a scam site, plus I had no 145 tranaction. I reported to MBs and they sent me a long message, and "Our Security department is making sufficient efforts to shut down the website."

"Moneybookers will always contact you with a greeting including your name and if this is a scam the message will not start with your name" Same thing Admin said, good advice but its possible they could have your name so always make sure its from the right address, e.g. moneybookers.com

Register at Neteller or Click & Buy.. I'm there and everythings works fine Smile

I guess it is best to have a few e-wallet accounts running. At least one for every vital currency you have to deal with. (Euro and US-Dollar for europeans, US-Dollar and Canadian-Dollar for canadians, and so on. Brits may need at least 3.)

This helps to keep conversion fees low.

And having a backup if neteller is maintaining its service does not hurt either.

Pathetic really. Why would anyone go to the length of setting up a fake website and autoresponder to steal money. There are legitimate ways of making money or simply going out and getting a job instead of making yourself look like a fool.

Everyone knows its www.moneybookers.com and not www.moneybookers.biz lol

The hackers might get away with ATM machines but its not really wise to do it with moneybookers.

Also i checked the page rank of the .com site and its 7/10 the .biz site is 0/10.

andy5521, lots of people get scammed. Money bookers shouldn't have emails as the logins, just make it easier to get scammed. There was another scam where a ton of people got ripped off for like 3-10 grand buying a car on moneybookers. Not sure how it worked but if you see a car that is half price selling through MoneyBookers, becareful!
