I've spent so much time playing civilization 1, back when... It was my favorite game of all time. Then I realized it was destructive, in that so much time was wasted, with nothing in return. It's when I stopped playing computer games altogether. I see these games as sort of a "null device" for your life, when you find yourself playing for hours each day...

Its actually not demanding game. I have bad graphic card myself (intel integrated) but run game pretty fine. If you are not against stealing copyrighted stuff you have game on torrent sites and it is working fine.

I own Civ 5, but I've only ever played one game of it.. been meaning to get into it some though.. I've probably put in a couple thousand hours though combined of Civ I, II & III.. Never played IV..
But V is definitely a great game, I just don't game much any more.. In my experience, in all Civ games , above all else - value EXPANSION - settlers and cities.. that pretty wells ensures total domination.

It's specifically optimised to run well on laptops and such, definitely not a demanding game.

I play civ5 and Civ4 but honestly prefer 4, 5 with hexagons and I do not like not being able to stack the troops is another point against them and I can not do 4 big battles. CIV4 rules !!!

Agreed. Although my laptop wont run 5 ( it's almost ten years old) I have played on a friends machine.
I honestly think 4 is the better game. Especially if you have the Total Reality mod.
Torrenting is not stealing. Back in the 80s, early 90s nobody pointed fingers on you when you did put a cassette into the deck and made a copy of it to listen with your walkman or in your car. (Or did the same just with floppies and C64 & Amiga games) Especially when theres no evidence that the copy made was equal to a potential lost sale. Still no evidence to this, despite what the music, movie or videogame industry states. I only pay for quality entertainment, and we all know how small the percentage that you could consider 'quality' these days.
