CD Poker - PokerRoomSchool, changed their 20 quiz questions so they are a bit harder now.
In this thread you can discuss the questions and new users (to the $150 bonus) can seek advice if they are in doubt about any of the questions.
Here's the answers to the questions that we have been able to come up with, 2 of them are wrong though (but 18 out of 20 are enough to pass the test). PLEASE NOTE, these answers are from july 2008, it's possible that CD Poker change the quiz again sometime, making our answers wrong.
PLEASE KEEP OFF-TOPIC OUT OF THIS THREAD - only discussion about the CD Poker QUIZ is allowed in this thread.

some of those questions are terrible. questions 9 and 11 are particularly bad. you check raise for lots of reasons and as shokaku said you need more info for q11 cos you don't know if the opponents are likely to bet out, call or fold to any bet. you need to know what possibilities there are for their hands and how they play.
the quiz i did was much easier. i didn't need BRM to give me those answers and also a lot of these questions are pure maths. the quiz i did was purely poker knowledge and i can't remember any strategy questions either.

I fixed the question 5 error now, as I recall the guy who did the quiz had 18 out of 20 correct, so now the quiz should be 19 out of 20 correct (enough to pass, 18/20 was also enough though).

The nuts descibe the best possible hand. For example: AK on a QJTxx rainbow board would be the nuts. So "a premium hand that cannot be beat" should be the right answer.

Question 16 of 20
You are dealt (Ah,Kd) on the button and you make a pre-flop raise. 4 players call your raise. The flop comes out (7c,Ks,2h). All four players check around to you. You make a bet and three players fold and one calls in front of you. The turn comes 7h. Again it is checked to you by your heads up opponent. What is the best course of action from the following
You have the initiative and a made hand. You should make yet another bet here.
As your opponent has called you first 2 bets your should probably check here and hope to improve your hand on the river.
You probably are beat as your opponent could be holding a 7. You should check and fold on the river if a bet is made.

Question 17:
What is wrong with this situation?
There is no mentioning of limpers, so there are no longer 4 players that can call your raise.
To the question. Only a donk would call in a multiway pot with second pair. So it is unlikely that your opponent is holding a seven. So either bet the turn, or check there and call the river or bet yourselfe there.

When you flop a big hand, what should you do?
* none of above *Bet big to scare off any drawing hands *Bet a small amount to get as many callers as possible *Give your opponents an opportunity to catch up without giving them a free card that could beat you.

Depends of what they think a "big hand" is.
If you have one or two pair or even a set and flush or straight draws are possible you have to protect your hand and bet in a way to give the draws incorrect odds. If you have flopped a real monster you can invite other players to join the party.
