The long run is reached if the number of hands for a cashgameplayer or tourneys for a tourneyplayer is so high, that statitical methods can be used. 10.000 to 100.000 results are needed.

Sometimes it's good to analyze the situation where you lost but would do the same again cause you think the move was +EV "in the long run" sometimes it's not +EV(or only marginal +) even though you thought it was, atleast that's what I experienced when I started to calculate my EV in dif situations

yes it very hard its good to watch someone play for a while first and see what they go all in with, but you were very unlucky he hit with garbage
