Poker Client issues  0
Most of Poker clients dont work on my computer for some reason:

Either i just get error without any info or it says Casino component missing:

Would apply to each of the sites through BRM but most of the clients just dont work at me.

CPU:

AMD Athlon XP 2500+ 640MB RAM WinXP SP3

Most sites dont work except the Main ones. Their support doesnt offer any help in that area, just keep getting some pointless replies from them to run as administrator or such which i already do anyway Smile

Have no troubles running PKR for example, have troubles running winner poker and such & now also duck poker doesnt work anymore Smile

Hmm! Interesting issue. Have you tried uninstalling and re downloading the software again? That is usually the best approach! Also, check the relevant sites terms and conditions and check whether your country is supported! That can usually be a problem.

Alternatively, get yourself a different computer!

I dont think this is the problem and could be a number of issues but lest start with the most basics and give you computer a clean out. Go to delete history and make sure "Cookies and other site and plug-in data" is checked. then after that go and manual do a scan for updates. and go from there. Make sure you clean the stored cookies Thumbs Up

Tried all that already, is not country related i think its my computer speed related but this clients are nothing like PKR client which works fine Smile Saw on web it has to do something with a SP from windows but havent found that SP installed on my computer.

If it is really a lot of client software not working, you could try and reinstall/update your Java enviroment first. If this doesn't help, you will be forced to set up your computer anew from scratch.

It could be a certain security software installed on your computer that's causing conflicts or irregular behaviors?

I have just had the same problem on my old windows XP laptop.
It's something to do with an SP 3 component not installed properly. If you go to 'start' then 'control panel' click 'security center' then on the left hand side there is a box headed 'resources' If you click on 'check for latest updates from windows update' It will scan what updates you need and hopefully sort it out.
Also I have Iobit Advanced System Care installed and that speeds up and sorts your computer out too. Its really good.
If you click this link http://download.cnet.com/Advanced-SystemCare-Free/3000-...
You can download it.
HTH Big Smile

I think you should format your windows maybe too much viruses on it due to going on the internet if you know what i am saying lol, anyway saw that you got the issues solved, so good luck and hopefully you are back and able to play , cheers mate good luck at the tables then hope you have better luck than the other tournament you lost, maybe go to cash games, they are always running and you do not have to spend so much time playing MTTs!

make sure you also do a "disk clean", it will clean out all your unused files, and junk you dont need,

maybe also a "Defragmentation" hope that speeds up your pc...

im on XP so pokerstars works fine for me...

I dont know how thing work after they have stopped updating windows XP.
Have you had done all the updates to the full till the moment they stopped.
One of the things that created a bit of problems when i was running XP
was the net framework. Install all the versions of it with the latest updates you can find.

Of course you should be looking to a hardware upgrade Smile

I'm fairly sure your problem lies with your video card and your RAM. You most likely need a software that will enable you to play at some clients (an example is the Direct X software that's required for some games) and the version that you need can't be supported by your video card.

Once that's taken care of, you need to look at upgrading your RAM, it doesn't cost a lot but it makes your computer a lot faster. Just make sure you buy the correct type to fit your PC. When that's done, you might be good to go.

I'm running XP SP3 as well and I've had no problems what so ever with any client but I'm running a 2GB RAM PC and my video card is the best that my motherboard can support.

I can't be sure tho so you should download a software called "Everest Home Edition", they've got a free 30 day trial and that's all you need. Use that software to find out what video card you're running, google that card (the EXACT name) and add to the search "update". You should then find an .exe to download which will update your performance of that video card to the most optimal for your PC. In some cases, this simple fix solves the problem so you won't have to buy any new stuff.

I was about to say to get the latest CCleaner, Java, Flash Player and look after if you could have some troubleshooting with your HUD software but everybody already stated the same, so you either have driver issues (its not unusual on XP) or you need to get your hands on some additional RAM cuz 640 MB won't cut it in 2014 im pretty sure of that.
I am not saying that these softwares need more memory to run themself could be a bigger problem here, but you definitely need more RAM.
