If you know something about poker odds, strategy, math and what not chances are that you have heard of Nash equilibrium. If not you should definitely google it and use it since its one of most useful tools for poker player. But here is what I just find out. You know that movie "Beautiful mind" with Rusell Crowe?http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0268978/?ref_=nv_sr_3 Its one of the best movies ever and it is about guy who made nash equilibrium!!! If you havent watch movie (wow!) go and watch it since its truly wonderful movie about great man. Here is also documentary about this great man: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7A-Nh7-AU1c
------------ Does anyone have knowledge of this strategy? If so, could you explain it's effectiveness? A lot of what I've read seems to sum up of the push/fold in HU games, can it be applied elsewhere?

Yeah, it is mostly used for push/fold ranges in SNG games. It is pretty much mathematically accurate prediction regarding what range with what size stack you can shove to be break even or profitable in long run. And that is really important in tournament play (SNG, HU, MTT). Without this kind of mathematical formula you could only guess what is good to shove/fold in long run.
