If you`re playing low limits, NL HE $0.05/0.10 on Full Tilt try to avoid tables with monster pots, you cant play poker on those, pots from $1.30 to $2.00 would do. Then play your semi tight game with little patience to build up your table image and you would do just fine. Try to pick spots get away from poor players that are aggressive if they raise preflop. They will most likely continue to be aggressive and if you miss few of these hands it will hurt you and they have tendency of getting out of the table when they double up or more so you won`t be able to wait for good hand and exploit them.

Depends on the table.
If you play full ring, tight is right. Espacially, if a lot of players play pretty loose. You can sit there and wait for your monster hands. You are guaranteed to get action if you get them.
Shorthanded you have to loosen up. Less opponents, so the average starting hands will be of lower value. The blinds come around much faster, so you have to open up your game.

I like to play tight, first check out the table and see how everyone plays, also I look for a table with players that don't have a too larch stack to avoid getting bluffed away

You don't have to play the same way in every part of the game... you moves should be guided by your considerations about stacks, blinds, payment structure and opponent's behaviour

I guess it is the opposite. If the table is tight, loosen up your game and try to steal the blinds. If the table is loose, play tight and crush them with good starting hands. You will then be ahead very often.

Glad you choost harrington Poeinkie, just dont get to wrapped up in it as at low limts there are lots of players who only think they know what they are doing,
Think its been coverd but it depends on how the ppl at the table are playing, you should ajust you play accordingly, but this is easyer said than done as we all have habits. A loose player would struggle to play tight etc.

One should remember, that Harrington on Hold'em is for tourney play only. Action Dan has written a pair of books for cash games recently. These cover cash games at full ring tables. I guess the old nit would get a heart attack trying to play shorthanded.
