As it's still the middle of December and Christmas is yet to arrive, I haven't even thought about tasks for next year! However, while walking home tonight, I pondered the idea of building up my BRM MOB Points till I have the equivalent of $215 then cashing out, switching it to stars and playing the Sunday Million.

Annual 15k Fifty50 (mixed stakes up to $7.00) sit and go play counts as well as over $2,400 in profit (VIP rewards included) on PokerStars.

That's an interesting goal.
Any pirticular reason why you picked the fifty-fifties as game of choice?

Because Fifty50 is one of the most nit (myself included, LMFAO) infested format of the games!
Projected profit was roughly estimated provided with at least 3% ROI on each stake.
What do you think? Thumbs Up

I think your goal shows that you have a very realistic understanding of winrates, which is nice.
Did you consider non turbo STTs (9 mans)? Winrates are much higher than in fifty-fifties and Opposition is very weak on average. Your ~$0.20/game goal could be easily achieved even at $1.50s games there (see sharkscope leaderboard, $0.30/game or higher isn't rare at all).
If fifty-fifties is your much prefered format then definitely go for it, but there might be more profitable oppotunities

Why is that so? I would think that DONs would be way nittier (since stack size plays no role, just survival)...

My goal for 2015 with poker is to start to play $50 head up turbo for only 3 games per day. My goal would be to win 2 out of 3 games per day and profit each day with this style of play. That is my goal Tongue I will have to keep an eye out to see who completes their goals Smile

I will definitely try that format as well. Thanks for your advice.

I did not understand your question.
Was my statement a bit ambiguous leading you to miscomprehend it as to the point I was trying to emphasize?

He was asking why Fifty50's would be nittier than DON's, as in Fifty50's your finishing stack is important, but not in DON's...

I think fifty-fifties are pretty complex in that aspect.
Both aggresion and 'nitting' (in that case folding based on ICM) has to be used well.
The most profitable players in fifty-fifties have a very 1st-heavy finish distribution.
So I would kinda disagree that being a nit will bring much success in these, I'd also not compare them to DoNs, DoNs are very straightforward, in fifty-fifties there are many individualities how a game can go.
Have to say though that I didn't play more than maybe 100 (and most of them on stars.fr) fifty-fifties in total, low winrates with large swings possible is a horrible combination for ones mindset IMO, but of course everyone's different in that aspect.

I liked Fifty50's when I played them for a while... mainly because they reward bubble aggression...

But stopped playing them because they were as swingy as.... a particularly swingy swing.

Yeah, that totally makes sense, if it was what he meant.
The other sites offer original DON format but I am afraid that there seem to be some sort of collusion there...

Ouch. Sad Thanks for pointing that out! Thumbs Up

It was absolutely absurd goal or idea.
Scratch that total sh*t. Gonna stick with regular cash games (IF I HAVE TO PLAY THIS RETARDED GAME).

I'm primarily a recreational player so don't set financial goals. I'm just going to try and improve and not re-deposit for 2015.

Well, I shouldn't have said that.
Whatever...

Japanese blonde women like you often say stuff they don't really mean Blink

Personally, my poker goal for 2015 was to only deposit where there's good promotions out there to kind of reduce the rake which makes it hard to win money online. The 10% rake is what makes a lot of ev+ players not ev+ basically.

Anyways, it was a pretty good year, as I was able to build many bankrolls from scratch and withdraw most of them Smile My only regret about poker this year is that I didn't get to play as much live poker as I'm used to.

Well..... It's always good to review your targets throughout the year and I have constantly and consistently done so and am well aware that I have not achieved a great deal in terms of poker this year ...mainly due to the fact I haven't had the time to play any serious stuff. It would be interesting to see how everyone else is doing with their goals.
