So I was talking to a friend today about poker... He was constantly going on about how weak the standard is on the FastForward tables on PartyPoker... and how he continually makes 25bb/100hands and upwards... So I made a decision there and then that when I got home from work, I would see for myself....
The first 1,000 hands couldn't really have gone much better (see attached graph)
I will play an absolute minimum of 2,500 hands per day, starting at $0.02/0.04 and hopefully moving up through to $0.50/1.00 in time.
I will be using 30 and 5 Bankroll Management (meaning when I have 35 buy-ins for the next level, I will move up.. if I drop back to 30 buy-ins, I'll drop back down, and so on..)
I clearly don't think I will keep up a winrate of over 100bb/100hands, but I'm also not expecting too many problems climbing the stakes....

Isn't the traffic so much worse on party? Is 0.5/1 fastforward even playable/grindable? I was playing there the last few days to clear some of these missions but overall I (sadly) didn't think they are in a state to keep up with stars right now, in any aspect (seeing for example that eventhough stars reduced some promos, the rakeback % will still be higher, let alone traffic).

There is usually somewhere between 50 and 150 playing $0.50/1.00... So yeah, definitely grindable.
Hit a downswing nice and early... always good to get them out of the way
...4-bet QQ, flop 589, get all in lose to 89 ...Aces all in preflop, lose to tens ...67 of hearts, flop 3h 5h 8c, villain bets, I raise.. Turn 5s, villain checks, I bet, river 4s, villain checks, I bet, they raise, I call.... lose to pocket 4s
I don't know about fast forward, but I currently play NL4 6max at party, and have a winrate of 36.4 bb/100 over 34529 hands (thats all the NL4 hands I ever played). Over the last 10000 hands it's 74 bb/100 (since I've started table selecting). So, very high winrates, really do seem to be possible here... I keep expecting a downswing, but that has yet to happen

Well, I'm classing it as a good thing that it's still a much better session than I could've hoped for, even with those losses... makes me a lot more confident that it's sustainable.

fast forward was my game of choice for a while then increased the stakes and hell breaks lose Was a beat after bad beat my bankroll gone to space so I quit for a while
Soon I´ll be back on the horse back to basics small stakes and a tight game The best of luck to you hope you keep grinding the profits

Is it really that much softer than at stars? i used to do pretty good in these kind of games at UB before , and doing some at stars atm without a lot of trouble , how many tables do you play at once if i may ask?

Posted by jeffaboy: There indeed you are right and its better to get a little down swing now than when playing 5/10 or 10/25 stakes
Oh, they will come there too
Luckily, volume crushes downswings in the end
------------ Playing 4 tables at a time... and yes, I really do think it's much softer than Stars... I played over a million hands on Zoom, and playing on Party just doesn't feel the same at all.
