Aren't Ecigs worse than tobacco though supposedly?
Every piece of research I've read says otherwise and in fact by quite some margin ie almost harmless. I'd be interested to know where you got that idea from.
Just the news and online articles like that. Something about chemicals but they wouldnt pass any sell tests tbh so it's probably just bull crap panic articles or something. I have tried them before when friends have have them but they never fulfill the inhale feeling you get with normal cigarettes for me.
I know what you mean, the first one I tried was crap. You need a low impedance heating coil to give you that throat hit. Most of them come with high impedance (cooler vapour) coils as standard.
The standard is 2.5 ohm, I use 1.8 and it gives a stronger throat hit than I used to get with unfiltered roll ups.

How much did you pay for your first lot of Ecig and the flavoured cap things? I was thinking about swapping to one last year but as usual it's just a thought that never materializes into actions.

The first one I got was from Totally Wicked, a street chain shop that specializes in selling their own brand. They are crap quality and totally over priced. I think I paid around £25 for a starer kit (big mistake).
I now use a Kanger Tech pro tank 2 (quality metal and pyrex build rather than the cheap plastic job that I had from totally wicked) cost around £7 +£10 for the battery. Less expensive but light years ahead in quality.
As for liquid I buy it online from Vapemate. I get the largest bottle which I think at the moment is £7.99. They also do a buy 2 get 1 free offer. One bottle lasts me around a month. So that's around £16 for three months. You need to cost in replacement coils which over three months will be around £15. So your looking at around £125 a year in total. Far cheaper than real cigs, even if you smoke dodgy duty free tobacco like I used to..

There is a (political) lobby against them (possibly paid for by big tobacco?). They say that ecigs are a gateway for young people to start smoking for real, or for them to start smoking ecigs recreationally (which is still not good for you because of the nicotine). To be fair, some of them are marketed in other ways than aids for quitting smoking.
Such a lobby will surely exaggerate any health concerns there may be. The scientific evidence so far suggests ecigs are overwhelmingly more healthy than real cigarettes.

It's actually more likely to be the pharmaceutical companies backing the anti ecig lobby. They are heavily invested in quitting aids that have been shown to be far less effective than ecigs. Whereas many of the big tobacco companies are now investing in ecigs.

I am deeply sorry for you, that you ran into a health issue because of your smoking. I have to admit, that I am smooking heavily as well - nearly one cigarette every half an hour. I do not have any problems with my healt so far and I hope it will stay that way.

The response from most impartial doctors who I have heard talking about E-cigs is they are no way worse than smoking tobacco and I doubt they would encourage people to take up smoking tobacco. One of the concerns lately is the E cigs bought online could be inferior quality and the liquid being fake/dangerous,if you look online there are lots of stories about the chargers exploding or over heating and causing house fires.

Been smoking rollies for 3 years now, a 25g pouch usually lasts me 3-4 days, depending on what I'm doing. Working usually causes me to smoke less, but so easy to pop out for a cheeky smoke. Always hated my parents smoking, yet here I am. It's a habit I wish I never picked up, but I just enjoy doing it. Rolling a perfect ciggarette, after a session of hard mental activity, after meals, and especially whilst drinking. I just like it too much to think about quitting at the moment.

I can roll something else in less than 10 sec with both mine eyes closed and 1 handed xD

Same here
That's how I learned to roll. I was smoking weed a couple of years before I got into tobacco. It was the weed that gave me a nicotine addiction.

Sorry but that study was almost certainly b******t. For every study saying they are worse than tobacco I could find you 20 that contradict it.
P.S. I wonder how much of cancer is actually related to smoking and how much is related to breathing in the air we breathe from exhausts of vehicles running down streets, imo thats way higher problem than the cigs itself. I live on land with fresh air around and everytime i go to town the difference is huge...
When i feel my lungs are under pressure or "dammaged" i go and eat s**tloads of garlic, it helps instantly.
P.S.S. Dont even remember last time i was sick, must have been years ago, all that i can feel is when weather changes and the seasonal "lung cleaning" starts, is a few days of spiting out s**t and its ok afterwards again
P.S.S.S Years ago, doctor said i am going to die soon if i dont stop smoking and gave me some inhaler s**t, thrown it away and continued smoking, everything was fine and still is
+ i had astma when younger, i dont have it anymore and in between i was smoking rly rly alot all the time.
Judgining by myself i can say that other s**t in your life is what harms you more, like unbalanced eating, too much of anything, stressfull life, working with chemicals or in some old factories where all kinds of s**t can be around in air etc... People smoke for ages, centuries isnt it funny that cancer is more or less a thing of the present age we live in?
