Now that I think about it I guess neither the Detroit Lions and the Green Bay Packers will make the playoffs just like last season. I dunno if they fixed their offenses but they definitely spent some money on free agents on the other side of the ball - might not pay off at all in the end.
Bears #100 celebration weekend gone down these last three days, I was able to catch some panels from the live feed but I am a bit frusrated because not every talk and event got video feed or been put up to their youtube chanel. Hope they are working on it right now.
I managed to win an entry for the PokerStars $11 Sunday Storm 8th Anniversary Tournament! I usually try to play them every year on the anniversary but I don't have much time during the weekends nowadays so I am not playing that much poker anyway, so we'll see how I finish here.

Then I managed to mess it up in less than two hours! Yaaay me! I lost close to fifty bucks this week on Stars I think I'll take a vacation now.
Things are quiet now both on gambling and poker fronts for me, in the summer I usually just chill with betting when no major league are on except for baseball. Now we only sixty days apart from the NFL season starting and thirty from the presaeason to start so that is a different animal altogether. We'll see...

Guess what? I played the Micromillions Sunday Storm and messed up again, this time after the late reg ended! I played so good for two and a half hours I am kinda sad that I managed to mess all that up in twenty minutes.

That's mostly happen to me as well. We really couldn't lost focus even single hand, cause will affect to our next play. Especially card dead situation, we should have good control of emotion and over confidence. Need to recognize 'my time' to win or not . Good luck next time.

Thanks. My problem is that whenever I establish my profile (TAG) properly on a table I usually start opening my range so I could take advantage of others who are thinking they know what I have based on my previous showdowns. Now, this should work when I get the opponents range right, but when I miss it sometimes cost me the whole tourney. It's very madding, I have a lot more to learn.

Yes, you are right. Actually so many thing we have to learn in poker, beyond how to play according theory from poker book. Then the most difficult : practice it without a lot of mistake a long the game, 1 or 2 small error sometimes still ok, but more...yeah, like happen to you and me mention above.

Yeah, I am a huge Bears fan but this decade only brought this team a truckload of misery so I am just extatic that they are having a great squad again. Otherwise not much to write about in this thread because its just summer and nothing is happening with me beyond waiting for the NFL season to start and playing some low-key MicroMillions tourney...

I have not really been a fan since way back in the day of "William 'the refrigerator' Perry". Not to mention the great Jim McMahon in the quarterback position. the Bears went slowly into that good night after them glory days. However we still get new cheerleader squad's every year
First Bears pre-season game is in the books - Da Beloved lost the game 23-13 to the Carolina Panthers but the results are never important during pre-season - the only thing important is to make it through the games without injuries. At least we achieved that.
Second Bears preseason game is in the books and it was just as ugly as the first one because they sat 30 starters or key/roleplayers and the backups or the backup of backups who played did not look even remotely good so there's really nothing to talk about.

Well, the third one is on this weekend if anybody is interested - the backups and the backup of the backups will take on the Colts this time. It will be a $hitfest tbh.
My fantasy football drafts are commencing on this weekend for both of my leagues and I want to win them both but I still don't really know what I am gonna do when the draft comes seeing that one is a standard league and the other is a 0.5 PPR league. They require different tactics overall.

Bears lost their season opener against the Packers 10-3 in a terrible fashion. I am severly depressed because of it.
The gang meets the Broncos this week at Denver. I have mixed feelings about this game. - first, the Broncos is not very good right now (but neither the Bears) - second, the high altitude of the mile high city is really tricky especially in the summer/early fall - it's going to be an ugly defensive battle with a lot's of field goals...
