- second, the high altitude of the mile high city is really tricky especially in the summer/early fall
- it's going to be an ugly defensive battle with a lot's of field goals...

Aaaand I was right with everything. Thank God we came out with a win (16-14 to the Bears) but it was very frustrating.

Next time the Bears play it will be on Monday night at Washington. The Redskins did not start this season great but they could be a perfect letdown spot for this team if they still struggle with Trubisky to find his footing. I am expecting struggle regardless of the quarterback though. Hope we win.

Was a great game, defense dominated, Bears won it 31-15 and Trubisky did not play that bad. this weekend the Vikings gonna come to Soldier Field for a nice division battle so we could see where are the two teams right now.

I have a good feeling about tonight's Bear game despite Akiem Hicks won't play so the run defense might take a downturn, who knows.
I hope Trubisky will put together a great game and have his first 300 yards game this season.

The Bears lost against the Raiders in London in a way that was way more demoralizing than anything I've seen so far from this team. It was sad to be honest. Everybody played awful, nothing was working and the whole team seemed disjointed. It was bad-bad effort all around...

Bears are on a bye week this weekend so no more update from me until the Sunday of next week because they won't play for more than ten days right now.
I have nothing pokerrelated to talk about either because I am not playing anything but fantasy football nowadays. In one league I am 4-1 in another I am 2-3 but there's plenty more left from the season to turn things around.

Very hard to say something smart about what happened to the Bears yesterday, but it seems this team completely fell apart in the second half because the offense just could not get going at all and it tired the defense out which just gave up in the end.
Was very hard to watch.

This Monday is quite depressing to be honest. The Bears lost again - this time to the Chargers - in a bad fashion 17-16 and there is nothing positive to take away from this game.
This team wanted to go for the Super Bowl this year and they probably won't even make the playoffs. Goddamit it's depressing.

Aaand they have lost again in another depressing fashion this time to the Eagles in Philadelphia. This team is bad and in a total meltdown mode to be honest. There's nothing left to salvage this season and everybody knows it.

There's not much to say for this week - I did not have the chance to play some cards yet, altough i played those trivia games PokerStars hold every evenings on the live casino section...
The Bears on the other hand are gearing up to take down the Lions on the weekend but seeing how their season falling apart this year I would not say with confidence that they are gonna win this one...

Some things never change I guess such as the level of ineptitude on display with the Bears' offense year in and year out. Everybody was thinking this year will be the difference at the end since the team celebrates it's centennial season but it turns out we are the same old-same old BS excuse of a football team after all.
It happens, but it happens way too much with this team to be honest.

DaBears.

Lamenting on this lost Bears season during this week is making me think all kind of bad thoughts to be honest. I would fire the GM, the HC, the QB, the OFF Coordinator - almost anybody who had anything to do with this 100th season come crashing down on us in the usual fashion...
This management bottoming out four times out of five years, it's not a feelgood experience...

Hey, guess what - the Chicago Bears just won their Thanksgiving Thursday Game and they are now have a 6-6 record with a minor shot at one of the wildcard spots down the road. That's not too bad I guess. But considering everybody was expecting better things to come this year not making the playoff would be a disappointment...

Da Bears are in the playoff hunt ladies and gentleman!
This Thursday against the Cowboys they could make the next step required to finish this season on a high note...

This is still true as of today.
However if they loose tomorrow to the Packers or the Rams win against the Cowboys in Dallas this statement above could turn into some wishful thinking, if that is not happened already...

Both the Rams and the Bears elemininated from playoff contention as of today. Da Bears playing the Chiefs tonight, I hope it's going to be a nice game unlike last week's nightmare at Green Bay.

My favourite NFL team - The Beloved Chicago Bears - finished their season at 8-8 (.500 record) and miss the playoffs completely in their 100th season.
There were plenty big expectations out there this season but most of them went right into the trash bin when Akiem Hicks went to IR and Mitch Trubisky regressed below average.
Well, there's always next time - here's to a better 2020!

So I am not gonna write here in this thread for a while because nothing interesting is happenning with me gambling-wise and Da Bears are on vacation for at least 'til March when free agency opens.
Minor coaching changes are not an interesting topic to be discussed here IMO.

See you guys after the NFL draft.
I will stay on the forum though of course, only this blog go on hiatus...
