If it is a tournament which could last more than 2 hours i prefer eating at least 1 hour prior to tournament, and then if it gets over 4 hours, quick snacks of something sweet in break. After the tournament i usually dont have that much apetite for some time.

when it comes to eating im not realy botherd if im hungry ill eat other wise i eat before during and afterwards but the question was a litle different anyhow

Theres a few things I like to do before I play. Have a shower and do some sort of exercise. I usually play better on an empty stomach..I think its because I go in hunting mode lol. But I like to munch on celery and carrots when I play.

I usually have my energy drinks with me while i play. Not that i need them or anything, im your not so average insomniac so i dont get much sleep, so i dont need the drink to keep me awake i just like em. As far as food, i see food at the same level that i see poker, it is as important and it deserves its own focus and my full attention, so its one or the other lol.

Ive try to play first, and then go to eat something, but theres a secret - Ive always smoke till Im playing, and drinking some nes coffee with mineral water too... Its Just like an ancient ritual for me, hehe. Just like an old weed smokers - first action, then satisfaction

Did you see Johnny Chan on Poker After Dark a few night ago? He said he drank 2 energy drinks before the show and he was hyper, it was funny.

i thikn it would make sence to eat befor you play because if its a long game and you get hungry during it this may effect your play as your thinking of your belly to much instead of the game
