Anybody have this free poker hud ? i know alot of TWITCH streamers have it, i tried it but before it opened i got alert it is virus ? anybody know why?

1) it actually is a virus, or some sort of crapware, adware or spyware- or a mega combo of these and that would explain why would someone want to give something for free. 2) it is not a virus. people give away their work for free and they are lovin it.

I was watching pokerstaples last night. Was that you that asked him about the virus thing?
If it puts anyones mind at rest Jivaro is on the list of software that stars allows so very unlikely it's a virus.

My name is Ívar and I work for customer support at Jivaro, I'll try to answer some of your questions here.

The reason that some AV programs flag Jivaro as a potential threat is based on simple heuristics of the AV programs. Jivaro actually runs as 2 separate processes (one for getting PokerStars data and number-crunching it and one that does nothing except overlay the table windows with the hud).
These 2 components communicate via "sockets", which one of the component opens and waits for incoming connection from the other. Since one of the common operations of malware is to open a listening socket, that very fact that Jivaro does that raises a flag with some AV programs.
We've contacted most AV vendors already to get included in the whitelisting program and a few of them have already responded and accepted Jivaro as a non-threat.

Why doesn't it just read the chat like all the other HUDs do?
Well, we are able to do more advanced things this way and we get more information than just with the HH file, for example we are recording hands in "real time" so when watching a replay of the hand you can see timing tells etc.
There are a few more reasons for it which you will see once our premium version is out.

aaah the good old freemium... well good luck there- nice to see the prompt response from official sources.
