This has just happened to me n the 2000 dollar weekly round 2 on Ppokerstars: I had 62 offsuit in the small blind and 5 guys called ahead of me. I decided to fold, because I had only 8 big blinds left and wanted to safe my chips. The flop comes 622. Damn it! This happened quite often to me.
Should one really call with such weak hands in the small blind?

dont look like that.... That happend to me million times, but that is no reason to call, because you will miss flop 90% of time, so isnt worth it to wait one in million chance to hit that kind of flop on your rubbish hand...

that was clear pot odds call preflop.... calculate odds and u will see its mandatory call. But yeah u will miss flop 90% of time but u have less then 10% to call

I dont think in this case pot odds help... better fold, next hand will be better for sure... in this way you have to beat 5 players with 62 off which is preatty imposible... I would never called it with 62 off... But thats my opinion...
I agree with StheP here. Even if your win odds slightly higher than pot odds (in this case 30% win odds vs 20% pot odds) you have to take into account your stack size as well. You can call with deep stack only IMO.

Posted by vsemoje: well i dont know if everybody limped or called raise preflop. If everybody limped u must call from SB for sure..
Maybe my expression, that the five people in front of me just "called" was a little bit misleading here. For me this means they did not raise nor call a raise, they just bet or call the big blind. I guess in pokerenglish you call that a limp.

Posted by watoba: It's a question how high are the blinds,I had call when the blinds are small but higher blinds definitely fold. GL next time
As I have stated in ma first post I do not remember exactly how high the blinds in absolute numbers were, but in relation I had 8 big blinds left and because of that I did fold in order to save some chips for the final all in.
