Rodriguez baffles Rangers in sparkling MLB debut
By T.R. Sullivan and Cody Stavenhagen / MLB.com

ARLINGTON -- Red Sox rookie left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez made a terrific Major League debut, throwing 7 2/3 scoreless innings in a 5-1 victory over the Rangers on Thursday night at Globe Life Park.
Rodriguez beat Rangers starter Nick Martinez, who suffered his first loss of the season. Martinez, who entered the game third in the league with a 1.96 ERA, allowed two runs in seven innings and is now 4-1 with a 2.03 ERA in 10 starts.

Tight muscle in neck ends Strasburg's night
By Bill Ladson / MLB.com

CINCINNATI -- Stephen Strasburg exited Friday's series opener vs. the Reds, a 5-2 Nationals loss, in the bottom of the second inning with what the team says is a tight muscle in his neck.
After the right-hander allowed a leadoff walk to Brayan Pena, manager Matt Williams, pitching coach Steve McCatty and the team's head athletic trainer went to the mound. Strasburg did not throw another pitch; he was removed by Williams and replaced by Taylor Jordan, who was in the restroom when he received word that he would be entering the game.

Kendrick hits RBI single in sixth inning during win vs. Cardinals
By David Cobb / MLB.com | 2:17 AM ET

ST. LOUIS -- On a Saturday night they made history for the wrong reason, the Dodgers came away with the last laugh and reclaimed first place in the National League West. The Dodgers sprung to life in the sixth inning, one frame after reaching a franchise-worst streak of consecutive scoreless innings on the road, and left Busch Stadium with a 5-1 win.

It has been a while since the last time i placed a bet here.
The only available single there was today was between St. Louis Cardinals and
Los Angeles Dodgers. They both had 1.75 odds, so i went for the first team and
a 0.25 euro bet Smile good luck.

Colon legs out RBI double for 3rd hit of 2015
Mets righty reaches goal of three hits in 2015, throws seven innings for 8th win
By Anthony DiComo / MLB.com

NEW YORK -- The world may always wonder if Bartolo Colon could have reached third.
Colon's third hit of the season was unlike either of the previous two, screaming up the middle in the second inning of the Mets' 4-3 win over the Marlins on Sunday. Because center fielder Ichiro Suzuki was playing so close to home plate and shaded toward right field, the line drive -- which left Colon's bat at 96 mph, as tracked by Statcast™ -- scooted past him and rolled to the wall. (Colon, it should be noted, has not thrown a pitch that fast in over two years).

deGrom dominates Padres with a capital D
By Corey Brock and Anthony DiComo / MLB.com

SAN DIEGO -- Daniel Murphy had four hits and knocked in three runs and starting pitcher Jacob deGrom didn't allow a baserunner until the sixth inning on Monday as the Mets coasted to a 7-0 victory over the Padres at Petco Park.
deGrom (6-4) retired the first 15 batters he faced before Clint Barmes punched a single into the hole between first and second base to start the sixth inning. deGrom allowed two hits in eight innings with no walks and eight strikeouts.
