Maybe try to uninstall and then install again.
On my comp Full TIlt is one of the most stable and
smooth running poker clients even when playing multitable.

if youre connection is slow tournament lobby can freeze, at least looks that way, your computer. Just close the lobby windows when it pops up and everything will be fine. That`s the reason why Pokerstars tournament lobby doesnt show all players by default and you have to open player list manualy. Try that I am not certain 100% that this is it but should be the reason. Also, when you find a table where you will play and sit at it, go back to Full Tilt lobby and select edit from Tournament or Sit`n`go section and once you have that window open remove all check marks to make your "custom" list empty. That way you will lower the load on your connection only to tables you are playing at. I doubt that you play on dial up connection but if you do, try not to have more then 2 tables open because of the small upload rate of dial-up modem and it should work fine.
If all of above does not work, try reinstalling the client because as kraemer said, Full Tilt has one of the most stable client on the market, if not the best. Also, if you are using some other software beside Full Tilt at the same time, like Poker office and some media player combined with all above, it may cause your computer to slow down because poker office and some media players, including TV cards software use Java and it may cause slowdowns or even freezes.
If this is not happening only when playing poker at Full Tilt, it may be a sign of infection by some malicious code so full computer scan with maximum settings should be in order. If you have large disk capacity do it when you are going to sleep, but turn of stand by, you can turn off monitor manually, before starting such scan. It can take for hours if there is large amount of data to be scanned.
Hope this helps, if not wait for Full Tilt support to respond.

Never had any problems with Full Tilt, also for me one of the stable and smooth running Poker softwares. I thina that Predobar can be right, you might have a slov internet connection and this causes the lagging that you are talking about.

my net-connection is super stable, with all other poker clients. If i can, i close the lobbys, but if u will go to a other table (in tourney), the lobby will come up again.

its only if i play tourneys. and i love tourneys....

If i start the software, and im in a tourney, it freeze all tables, the client and the comp too.

Horrible.

Its enough ram here, DSL...., i wondering

Weird, try disabling "bring lobby to front" or something like that under "Options". Have you tried customizing your main lobby. With so many tournaments running it can produce same effect if coupled with tournament lobby.
Another thing crossed my mind. Do you have some Instant messaging client running in background or some torrent client? They can take large portions of your connection by occupying all available ports and when you switch tables in tournament new set of ports has to be opened and since all ports are taken client freezes because it cannot communicate with the server, it has to wait for old connections to timeout before they are available again. It would not freeze your poker client for real, it would just look that way until ports are available again, it takes 60 seconds for port connection to timeout by default and it is adjustable. This would not appear in cash games because cash table is using one set of ports all the time. Some torrent clients offer options which adjust those parameters permanently so in the end even if your torrent client is not running your computer is using predefined set of options which were adjusted by torrent client. I have not encountered any torrent client "playing" with timeout periods of ports but some torrent clients offer similar things to adjust TCP/IP settings so they can make more connections.

One more thing, I don`t know which OS are you running, I am talking here about XP and downwards, don`t have any experience with Vista. I tested some poker clients in W2000pro, WIN98SE and WIN95. The results were good for most of them only some clients started showing weird behavior in form of minor glitches considering the menus and such stuff when running on WIN98 and WIN95, but W2K and XP worked the same with even better performance on W2K. And those glitches in 98 and 95 are not poker client related, they occur only because there are no official updates anymore for them and I did not want to install any 3rd party upgrades.

EDIT: Could you please post when you solve your problem so that others can do it too if they have the same problem, and I would like to know personally even if I am not having any problems with the client.

A lot of players have reported problems with full tilt recently. Freezes, broken connections, unable to join a tourney. It looks like the additional traffic for the ftops is overtaxing the servers.

Yeah, how many people play there?? I thing they are at Stars level now... Is it already the biggest room on the net? I think they will fix up the problem, and i also think that this can be caused by overpopulation on their servers...

By the numbers stars is still 2x FT but i think it is mainly because of 10K players freerolls. Yeah those ftops tournaments are plentiful and if you choose all from main lobby and if for some reason it is showing running tournaments too it is heavy load for any client.

Yea you can try and reinstall it, might help. I know when i was running on a 56k dial up I used to have problems on that site. Also only play one game at a time, might help.

When I tried to start the software the screen just said: Loading - Please Wait !!! ehhh "for the rest of your life" F*** NO - deleted the darn S*** again.

re-installed it tryed everything and nothing helped. Better wish you good luck with it mate - hope you´re gettin´ the darn thing to work, so you can make a lot of Dollar Dollar

Yea someyimes when i am at my moms ill play Full Tilt, but here house is a dialup connjectiionm. And AI cant play more than one game at a time or it starts lagging.

Internet with a dialup connection is hopeless today. It looks like all sites expect their users to have a broadband connection. They generate so much, most of the time useless, traffic that the sites cant be used with a low connection Thumbs Down

Yesterday I tried to play one tournament at Full Tilt and I must say that they have some real issues with client. I could not play tournament at all. Lobby loaded fine but when tournament table is opened, client just shutsdown itself. Poker office and Pokerstars running along with Full Tilt. But they seem to be working on it because client updated itself 2x in 1 hour.
