ONLINE POKER RIGGED?  -1
hey there peoples recently if been coming across more and more people who think online poker is rigged or fixed in some way........if you really feel that way maybe online poker is not for you.......having said that......there might be be couple of sites I do wonder about...but that hasn't stopped me from playing there.......when i first started playing online poker not to long ago.....if some said this site is rigged....I would check it out for my self...see what the fuss is about........and it would turn out, okay. It would seem that the fuss made was nothing.....Recently I've evolved as poker player realizing that poker is a game of skill and luck....and just because you get a bad beat it's not over.....I used to wonder about sites a lot, I would hear and read stuff on line about a site and then go check it out.....for the most part it's not true about most site.....I will say that there are site that have crazy play through requirments for cashing out.....and to get you'r money is actually harder from then then you thought.......those kinda site I just don't bother with.......hear is my thought about online poker..........online poker in my expeirences is not rigged.......for the most part....and if you play smart and play skillfully you can and will make lots of money playing the game........but the thing is you got to get to the point were you understand poker better.........learn the game, learn it well the more I understarnd and get the game the more Clearly I see things that happen while in play I make smart choices now and I don't play every hand.....when I bet I try and bet smart............once I get a read on a player it's like taking candy from a baby..........SMART PLAYERS ARE GOOD PLAYERS........I know there will be others who will disaggree...with me but that don't matter, expeirence is key and understanding and playing the game as smart as i can play.......the donks don't get it they don't apprecate the game to them it's fast money it's and any beat pissses them off to the point they call you names...I can tell the differents between players who know the game from others who just play it......any I don't think online poker is rigged to me online poker is a chance to get good at some thing I love and make money staying home....playing the game I love......take you're beats and loses and learn from them get over them don't dwell on then to much or you'll start to think poker is rigged......lol.........good luck and play smart.......... Big Smile

I`ve been checking other players too in Poker office to see who are the biggest winners I have played with. Not a big problem, PO do superb work in stats. So first after me is one guy I have played a lot with and he has 3/4 of his winnings coming from suckouts with bottom pairs when 2-4 players hit top 2 pairs or top pair with good kickers or boats with bottom pair against flushes. Most of the time hand is made after the flop, on turn or river. 3rd in line, same story. I stopped at 5th, it is not that interesting to go through other peoples hand history and watch games to see how people get sucked out. What should I think of that? Play 2-2 or 4-4 like it is A-A and fold A-A or A-Ks. No way.

so I like rigged poker as I have a bankroll with no money from my pocket!!
it's true that sometime we can trust in a rigged play but I play several hours on live to know that it seems rigged too?

I have to say I have thought a lot about that issue of online poker being rigged, but i really try not to any more, I just thought one day if it was really rigged why would so money people play, and why would so money pro's play and make money, playing the game online, they don't seem to bothered by thought, of online poker being rigged, but who's to say if live play is not rigged in some sort of way.....how do you know for sure about the people next to you,or around you,if I was to think a lot about it.....I just wouldn't play.....sure there's sites that I wonder about......but find away to beat that system and make a profit, keeping playing as long as you make the money..........maybe if online poker wasn't rigged I wouldn't like so much...........and not make any thing from it.......I play on this one site were if you notice how the cards are dewlt and played you can win there easy money the same cards do well.....but there's times when I've seen and played players who bragged they had the system figured, then they get beat and lose........playing stupid poker........just thinking they got it figured out......playing select hands........loses and go on full tilt....start blasting the site and online poker and how it's fixed.......and how they should have won that hand............how do they know they supposed to win that hand....just because they hold pocket kk or aa they go allin and and lose to maybe small pair or straight draw of some type......then they say, this is rigged play.....how so......just because they a big pair...and lose?.....I lost many hands like that and just took my beat.....it's just poker to me........ Big Smile...........well enough of that, good luck and play smart...love to read more of you're thought or comments...... Big Smile

I see lot of this discussions about online poker being rigged at some point being turned to bad beat discussions and I hate that.
When I am talking about online poker being rigged I am referring to action hands not bad beats. Poker rooms make much more rake if there are 4 players on turn having strong hands or good draws than they do when there are only 2 players involved in hand, these are their money making hands.
You say "why would pro`s play". Maybe, which I think is true, poker rooms don`t make so much action flops on higher limits and reason for that could be that there is a rake cap which is regularly capped on higher limits so they don`t have to make action hands. I don`t see pro`s playing at low or medium limit tables. FTP had pro`s playing at lower limits and those who had opportunity to play with them could notice that pro`s would play couple of hands and then sit out after being sucked out. On other hand, who knows do they get refunded for their losses or not, they do have some contract with poker rooms and what is in it no one knows.
I try not to play stupid poker and I avoid playing stupid players too, but when you get good draw or strong hand on flop with 3 other players calling your raise and you know they are not fishes, say your prayers that you have been chosen to win that one.
I would like to ask everyone who decides to post in this thread to keep it constructive, not insulting.

I used to live in Gibraltar (offshore jurisdiction) where most of the big poker firms are based, and a lot of my friends worked for a very large (not naming names!) poker company. Apparently the whole issue of poker sites being "rigged" and the argument that all cards are randomly chosen, is infact more indepth than it first seems.

I have heard rumours, and to me they can only be rumours as they were not first hand, that independent gaming auditors were in some way "persuaded" to sign off software licensing agreements, and that sometimes these independent auditors, are not all so independent if that makes sense.

Many of my friends who worked in the software development area of the firm (most of it was off-shored to india) were well aware that, under no circumstances can the cards be entirely random, and the reason for this is all down to the algorythms.

There will always, and i mean ALWAYS be a certain level of pre-determination of both players cards, and the final hand that is dealt. This is coming from the guys who work 10 hour days programming the very software in question.

In my personal experience, i am absolutely so sick and tired of being sucked out on my silly players, that i am seriously considering quitting. Yes i have made some good money, but when you appreciate the game of poker, take the time (years) to learn the game, and come up against a silly amateur fish calling a $500 pot with nothing more than queen high, and hitting the river, its rather demoralising. This is just an example, but without exception i have lost very large amounts on a weekly basis from circumstances such as this, and if it was so random, i would have the same problem during live gameplay, however...... un-suprisingly, i never do.

I hope the above helps.
