G'day mates
I have decided to once again take a go at a poker challenge. I was wondering just what you all think I should start with this time around. So I have chosen to write this and open a poll to find out. Do you think I should start with a smaller bankroll this time and give myself a possible rebuy if needed or do you think I should just go for it with the entire bankroll right from the beginning. Starting with more of a bankroll means I can play at higher limits and avoid some possible idiot donks.
I can start with up to $100 US.
So what do you think amigo's? I think a $50 minimum deposit to start with is as low as I want to go, but I can deposit as much as $100 US. If it was you what would you deposit?

What are you planning to play? Cash games or tournaments. And what stakes are you planning to play if cash games. I do agree that $50.00 should be enough, but it depends on what your plans are.
Good luck in this challenge it's been a long time since you did one.

Depends on the site you are going to play. If you can get a 100% deposit bonus, just deposit 50. It is plenty of money and if it is not money that can be added at once in your bankroll, you will still clear a lot of it, playing. Good luck with your new goal.

what site are you playing on, what is the mission? give us more details... If you feel comfortable you can start with 100$ IMO its much better because you will have bigger BR which open more doors

It all depends of the games you want to play, cash game, tournaments, SNG or others. However IMO you should take the maximum since there is always the cashout options. Wish you a lot of luck in your challenge and hope you will at least double it.

G'day mates
I am looking at playing this on PartyPoker. I mostly play cash ring games, but I will also play some smaller buy in tournaments. The reason I am looking at playing this challenge on PartyPoker and not on PokerStars is a simple one. I currently have over 7500 mobpoints which I can cashout to party and then add $25 to it as well to make it a starting bankroll of $100 US.
However, if I decided to play it on PokerStars I could only comfortably make a Personal cash buy-in this week of only $50 US. The reason to play on Party is a simple one, it means less out of pocket cash from me. The problem as I see it is player volume on Party sucks compared to Stars.
In truth on Party I could start my bankroll off this week with $125 US, which would be a twofold deposit of $75 mobpoint cashout and a personal $50 US deposit.
On PokerStars my deposit this week would only be $50 US. Please do not get me wrong I could make a full $100 deposit on Stars personally but the extra $50 might leave me a little short and I am just more comfortable not over extending myself at this time. You never know when something unexpected is going to jump out that requires taking care of and having $50 on hand in case of unforeseen emergency's in my opinion is just a good plan.
Well now you know my thinking and initial plans. so now what you think?

Hey how are you ronin ? nice to see you starting a new challenge,if i were you i'd just cash out the mobpoints to party and see what happens with it,if you rack up some then transfer some/all over to atars or if you lose it all you can always deposit the $50 you have on stars. gl with whatever you decide to do mate.
If new account on Party try and link it with Bankroll Mob for the weekly free roll and missions will add extra cash not too hard too complete most of them except for the final hand one where a straight flush is required $100 US is quite a comfortable starting bankroll good luck with the challenge

well whenever mahdrof speaks, one can always expect some high quality bullsh1t. no exception this time- you really should only deposit what you are comfortable to lose. this way you have no extra pressure which affects your play. i don't see why you can't just start with $75 from brm and only deposit when/if you are running short on gas.

It seems you're the only one that spotted the absence of an actual challenge...
@Ronin, maybe specify what the challenge will be...
The $75 is enough to play NL4, but $125 would not be enough to play NL10, so just use the $75 to play NL4. Maybe switch to NL10 when you hit $150, an then add the extra $50, or just wait to you hit $200 before moving on to NL10, depending on how badly you want to move up stakes...
Also, don't try to avoid the "idiot donks", but rather find tables with as many of them as possible...

I would suggest him to switch on NL 10 when he build BR to 200$ nothing less... yesterday I played whole day NL 2, 4 tables in average with BR of 200$ and I got massive downswing... I lose for 10 hours of playing like 8 buy ins (something like 16$) LOL In first half hour I was actualy about 5 buy in in plus LOL and than when I finished my session, I decided to play 1 table NL10 and it went realy bad... I was down to 2$ ( from 10$ strting stack) and than in couple of hands I got to 10,50 ( make like 50c profit) Yesterday was realy bad day for me... today I played again 4 tables NL2 for 1 hour (because I cannot play more, have exams these days) and I menage to get profit of 2 buy ins (like 4$).... Probably when I earn money that I lose, I would switch to play NL5 and than Ill try to make a little challange ( if I got time from exams, or maybe when I am finished with them)...

Actually I have NOT stated what the challenge is going to be yet because it will depend in part on which site I play on and how much my actual starting bankroll is.
I was thinking of starting with $100 and then trying to build it to $5000 over the next 2 years. I want to build it and do cashouts in the following way.
Step 1. Bankroll $100 Build it to $1000 and cash out $200 Step 2. Bankroll $800 Build it to $2000 and cash out $200 Step 3. Bankroll $1800 Build it to $3000 and cash out $300 Step 4. Bankroll $2800 Build it to $4000 and cash out $400 Step 5. Bankroll $3500 Build it to $5000 and cash out $500

Then decide where to go with the $4500 from there
Wishing you all the best.

Ronin..... Interesting challenge. As with other advice and comments above, I would recommend not putting any of your own money up for the game, but rely wholly on the mob points cash out. It will make it more interesting to see what you can make from essentially nothing!

thats a nice challange... and you can do this with proper bankroll menagment... you could reach your goal in less than year if you play cash games, but if you play tournaments, you could reach faster if you r good tournament player... I hope you will make it... i will start smaller challange for next month...
