2015 WSOP: 654 Players Through To Day 3 From Day 2-AB

The 470 survivors from Day 1A and 1,154 from Day 1B returned yesterday for Day 2-AB in separate rooms at Rio. Wednesday's participants played five two-hour levels with a few 20-minute breaks for dinner etc. After a 12-hour poker marathon, tournament staff called it a day and 654 survivors bagged up their stacks. I have just checked the chip counts from day 2ab and there are three Americans at the top with a Brit in 4th place, also Jake Cody in 14th place with a decent stack.
Not sure what the average is but CL has over 600k which is good as everyone below 20th place has under 300k.

one thing that clearly springs to my mind reading the heading that 654 players are through to day 3, is that everyone of them had a roughly 1:654 chance to lift the wsop main event title and a few sacks of dollaros. marks my words- one day pochui will not lift this title.

There are still many big names left in and its nice to see Jonathan Duhamel still in but, undoubtedly, the biggest story is that of 94 year old William Wacher still in the tournament

Day two is always exciting though but the speciality of this article is obviously the 94-year old WWII veteran guy who made it through among those six hundred. I wish I could get the same results 63 years from now when I'll play in the Main Event. Wink-wink.

Looking down the list of players still in there appears to be not too many familiar names doing well but I see Fatima De Melo doing OK and Justin Bonomo is one to watch.
Players like Negreanu,Esfandiari,Joe Hachem are in a solid position but I see Hellmuth is quite low in the field.
