The next takeover  0
The 888 group will take over bwin.party for around $1.4 billion. Will be interesting to see, which poker software the new group will end up using, as both clients are not among the best softwares on the market.

I ask me why, both Groups are offering poker and sports betting and can can´t beat stars as one Group. The 888 software was ok and different to all the others an i like here tourney promos in the last time. But we will see...

Well party is being taken over and i always thought it was the other way around which would happens that is part poker taking over the world and taking over 888 poker looks like it is not the case now, anyway hope it does not slow how 888 poker operates and if they becomes less good then the merger would have not being beneficial to us , anyway peace out have fun again and good luck at the tables guys , hope to see you soon!

Finally some good news,i mean this could not have been better, 888 the site that took poker world by surprise with their promotions and freerolls and became one of the best site to start building a bankroll from scratch, but they have really shitty software, with the BW site that killed their game in the start offering some good freerolls but then they cut those out and with them they lost most of their clients, but have the best software for poker, well gameplay is not as smooth as PS but its second best, but kicks asss in looks, no other software looks as grate as BW, so this really is a good news for me, i was trying to revive playing on BW but after they cut out the freerolls and they have no promotions, that was it for me, so fingers cross they merge and do what i think is the reason for merging, great promotions offers and freerolls with a great software for playing poker, win win situation Thumbs Up Heart Heart Heart

just because 888 is purchasing party/bwin it doesn't mean they are going to merge the software.
It would actually be in their best interest to keep the company's as separate entities.
because of client base, and also if one company runs into financial problems it has no affect on the other.

... Big Smile< That IS good news right off,....but we'll have to see how things play out...!

...I'm not on 888,...but I don't hear any complaints here about them,...and if they're willing to spend a little on new software over there,...I'm sure they could make partypoker a quality site... I like pp...! Thumbs Up

At about any given time through the daytime here,...partypoker has about 5,000 people logged in...whereAS,...PS has about 110,000...! Says it all...! Confused

There was no doubt that 888poker was and is on of the sites that will be on the
top of online poker. This takeover if it happens will make them more powerful,
and will be able to hit Full Tilt and Poker Stars.

I just hope it's a hostile takeover and everybody from the top of bwin's payment list get the boot. God, I just truly despise that miserable place.

Nope. The upper echolons of bwin.party opted for this offer. They had at least one compeating offer to consider. So i doubt they will get the boot, and should they get it, it will be a golden one. Blink

In that case I just hope they all will be on the business class of next Malaysian Airlines plane which will crash, so their golden parachutes would worth next to nothing.

I am hoping that things do not change much,to me there is a big difference between poker on 888 and Party Poker, not sure why but I feel like I get a better game on Party and 888 is less serious about poker.
I think it is way too much money to pay and maybe some execs have forgotten that gambling sites are only one scandal away from disaster. Smile
