Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy ended up in trouble in a late-night poker game last month. The 28-year-old footballer, who has the nickname "the cannon" due to his explosive personality, went to a casino in Leicester on July 26 with some of his team-mates to play some cards.
In the early hours, after his girlfriend had told him that a fellow gambler had looked at his cards, he lost his temper[...] Read more » English Footballer Behaves Badly During Poker Game

Well this is a surprise.....a young arrogant millionaire footballer who is used to having his ass wiped loses his temper!! .After the Leicester City sex fiasco in Thailand and with Pearson as the previous manager this is hardly a great shock.

Well it happens mate i like Vardy i bet on him several time to score and he make me good money so glad i see he on the news though for all the wrong reasons but sometimes i think he was right to bust when you lose, most people has gone tilt at some point in their poker life and this should be it lol, happens to everyone and all , i remember when i tilted and broke the tv lol , anyway peace out have fun and good luck at the tables mate!
Slight inconsistency in the story "fellow gambler" morphed into bystander allowed to look? Either way the player should protect his own cards so it his own fault. Re Pochui's comments, pissing is ok as long as you have a flush, shaving balls for mid-pair, shitting is end of game though, as you have logged-off. GL all mobsters 3p out

I hate to see these players act like this because they are supposed to be role models to younger fans. Footballers lead a very privileged life and they should conduct their self accordingly
Could not believe this idiot not once thought about telling her girlfriend not to lift up her cards so high 4 everyone 2 see. I mean one thing being drunk and acting like it altough this guy probably acts like a fool when sober too.
Just when he recently got a call up for international duties, well I bet this not good for his image but I think he does not fkin care as he's an arrogant feetball playa...

Now! Let's just consider this. How odd is it that of all the people in this casino, that the CCTV camera was focussed on our hero! Do we think it was just some fluke incident? Or is there something a little more behind the incident and its recording?

It's entirely possible that a Notthingam or Derby County fan was operating those cameras. So I guess they expected something from this guy and he proved them right.

If you treat these players like Gods from a very young age it is to be expected. My son played for Arsenal at the age of 7 and 8 and the parents were just crazy, already thinking their kids were something special and the coaches were just failed footballers with big delusions. Vardy did score and Leicester won on the first day of the season so maybe the pre season gambling, drinking, thuggish and racist behaviour works for some teams.
