Columbus-Pittsburgh Peng. 01:00 2,45 3,80 2,35
Penguins team scope: Sidney Crosby scored two goals in a 4-3 overtime win against the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday. Coach Mike Johnston was pleased to see Crosby match his season high of nine shots on goal. "When Sid's shooting the puck like that and with the determination he plays with offensively, he's really hard to handle," Johnston said, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Crosby has three goals in the past three games after he scored two in the first 18. The Penguins have won three of four, thanks in large part to Evgeni Malkin, who scored the winner against St. Louis and has four goals and three assists in the three victories. Pittsburgh will host the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday.
Blue Jackets team scope: Columbus has won five of its past seven games but remains in last place in the Metropolitan Division following its 0-8-0 start to the season. The Blue Jackets, who are 9-7-0 since John Tortorella took over as coach Oct. 21, know they need to continue winning games in bunches to get back into the mix for a Stanley Cup Playoff spot. "We have to give a push here," center Brandon Dubinsky said, according to the Columbus Dispatch. "We can't hover around .500. We have to find a way to string some wins together. It's not going to be easy, but this group can do it. With [Tortorella], we're getting better as a group. We're capable of doing it. But we have to start building it." Forward Cam Atkinson, who had an assist on the game-winning goal in a 2-1 victory at the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday, has a point in five of the past six games and six of the past eight.

ArizCoy-Ottawa Senators 04:00 2,45 3,80 2,35
Senators team scope: Ottawa has won four in a row but has allowed seven goals in the first two of a three-game Western Conference road trip after back-to-back shutouts. "That's not typical of us, but we're making the most out of it, and our goaltending has been spectacular too," forward Zack Smith told the Senators website after practice at Gila River Arena on Friday. "There's a couple of areas … we're still giving up a lot of shots, obviously, and if we can limit a few scoring chances, then I think everyone will feel a little better." Defenseman Patrick Wiercioch, who has missed the past three games because of an upper-body injury sustained Nov. 19 against the Columbus Blue Jackets, practiced Friday. "It was nice to be back out with the team," said Wiercioch, who has three assists and a minus-5 rating in 18 games. "I think that was the purpose of coming here, is to make sure you can get skating and get back into the routine, get the timing back." Forward Curtis Lazar, who did not practice Thursday because of an illness, said he would be in the lineup.
Coyotes team scope: Arizona has won three of four following a 2-1 overtime victory against the Calgary Flames on Friday. It was the 500th win of Dave Tippett's NHL coaching career, tying Toe Blake for 22nd in League history. "I'm still really happy when we win, and when you lose, you're not happy," Tippett said. "It's a good sign that it's still that way after this long." Defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson scored the winner. The Coyotes weren't pleased with their performance -- they committed six penalties and managed 18 shots on goal in regulation -- but they'll have a chance to sweep their three-game homestand and win their fourth in five games at Gila River Arena. "We have a chance to bring a better jump and have a better performance tomorrow and sweep these three games at home," said center Martin Hanzal, who scored his fifth goal of the season in the second period.

Detroit-Florida Panthers 20:00 2,20 3,80 2,60
Panthers team scope: Jagr will be in the lineup despite leaving a 3-2 shootout victory against the New York Islanders on Friday with 8:39 left in the third period and not returning. "I haven't talked to him [Saturday], but the trainers say he's going to be fine for [Sunday]," coach Gerard Gallant told the Panthers website. Jagr, who leads the Panthers in goals (eight) and points (18), remains one goal behind Marcel Dionne for fourth place on the NHL's all-time list with 731. Defenseman Dmitry Kulikov (knee) wore a non-contact jersey in practice Saturday. He will travel with the Panthers for their five-game road trip but won't play Sunday. Defenseman Dylan Olsen was recalled from Portland of the American Hockey League and will replace Alex Petrovic (ankle), who didn't practice Saturday.
Red Wings team scope: Goalie Petr Mrazek (6-4-2, 2.21 goals-against average, .931 save percentage) will start for Detroit, coach Jeff Blashill told the Red Wings website. Defenseman Jakub Kindl, who has been a healthy scratch the past four games, will also be back in the lineup. Detroit recalled right wing Tomas Jurco (conditioning) from Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League. "He went down and did what we asked him to do," Blashill said. "He went down and was great from all accounts. We wanted him to gain some confidence. We think obviously playing the way he's played down there, he should come back with lots of confidence." Jurco, 22, had five goals and four assists in five games with Grand Rapids after one assist in four games with the Red Wings.

Colorado Avalanche vs. New York Islanders
The New York Islanders are solid 57.2 percent favorites over the Colorado Avalanche. The Islanders are favored partly because they have a +6 edge in shots on goal and are projected for 35 shots on goal vs 29 shots for the Avalanche. The Avalanche goalie(s) have the edge in save percentage at 91.3% compared to the Islanders goalie(s) who have a forecasted save percentage of 91.1%.
In this game my selection will be The New York Islanders. I wish all fellow BRM the best of luck in their sports betting and poker tables. Thanks for letting me be part of this community and please excuse my English and my typing errors

Anaheim-Vancouver Canuc. 04:00 2,30 3,80 2,50
Canucks team scope: This is the third game of the four-game trip for Vancouver, which concludes Tuesday at the Los Angeles Kings. Rookie defenseman Ben Hutton, who has missed the past four games because of a lower-body injury, practiced Sunday in Anaheim but won't play Monday. "I don't know if he'll play on this trip, but he should be ready soon after," Vancouver coach Willie Desjardins said of Hutton. The Canucks have given up at least one power-play goal in each of the past five games, allowing five goals in 20 times shorthanded in that span, including two in five chances in a 3-2 shootout loss against the Dallas Stars on Friday. "I don't think there's anything really wrong with it, but it just has to get a little sharper," Desjardins said of the penalty kill.
Ducks team scope: Anaheim recalled forward Nate Thompson from his conditioning stint with San Diego of the American Hockey League, though Thompson, who had shoulder surgery during the offseason, remains on injured reserve. "I'm sure that by the end of the week, he'll be ready," Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau said of Thompson. Anaheim recalled defenseman Shea Theodore from San Diego. Theodore has two goals, nine assists and a plus-1 rating in 19 AHL games. Andersen, who has been out because of the flu, practiced Sunday, but Boudreau said it will likely take him 3-4 days "to get up to par." Boudreau was asked if the game against Vancouver is a must-win. The Ducks are 3-4-3 in their past 10 games. "I wouldn't say it's a 'must-win,' but it's a proverbial 4-pointer," he said. "It's an important game for us."
