TampaBay-Chicago Blackhaw. 01:30 2,40 3,80 2,40
Blackhawks team scope: Chicago has won 12 straight games, setting a Blackhawks record for consecutive wins by defeating the Nashville Predators 4-1 at Bridgestone Arena on Tuesday. "It's a pretty cool feeling," defenseman Brent Seabrook told Comcast Sportsnet Chicago. "I don't think we've set out to do anything like that, but we found ourselves in [that] position and it was nice to win that game." Including the 2015 Stanley Cup Final, which Chicago won in Game 6, the Blackhawks have defeated the Lightning in four straight. Goalie Corey Crawford, who is expected to start, hasn't allowed a goal against Tampa Bay since center Valtteri Filppula scored at 10:53 of the second period in Game 5 at Amalie Arena. That's a shutout span of 149:24 for Crawford, who has won an NHL career-high nine straight starts during Chicago's win streak. "All that guy ever does is win, and he's never up for the Vezina [Trophy], he's never really talked about as one of the big goalies in the League, yet he's the one [who's] carrying all the silver around," Tampa Bay coach Jon Cooper told the Lightning website Wednesday. "There's something to be said about that."
Lightning team scope: Tampa Bay has won six straight games after extending its season-high streak with a 6-4 victory against the Edmonton Oilers at Amalie Arena on Tuesday. Center Brian Boyle returned to the lineup after missing a game with a lower-body injury and scored the game-winning goal shorthanded in the third period. Backup goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy made 22 saves while giving Ben Bishop a game off. No starting goalie has been named. Bishop has won his past three starts, allowing three goals on 74 shots for a .959 save percentage. Matching win streaks against Chicago is something Tampa Bay is eager to do. "They're a [deserving] champion and now we get to meet one more time during the regular season, and it just so happens that ... we're on a little bit of a run and they're on a major run," Cooper said. "So, it does add to the storyline. But there's no question, this game probably means a little bit more." The Lightning are averaging four goals a game during the run and haven't scored fewer than three in any of their six wins.

Boston Bruins vs Vancouver Canucks
1
Most important news today is that Henrik Sedin is out for 2 weeks and I don't know how will Canuck be able to play without him. Surely they will lose today in Boston that is for sure, I mean there is no chance they can surprise without their key player.

Ottawa-N.Y.Islanders 01:30 2,35 3,80 2,45
Islanders team scope: Defenseman Travis Hamonic is expected to return to the lineup after missing four games with a lower-body injury. He is likely to be paired with Calvin de Haan, coach Jack Capuano told Newsday on Thursday. The Islanders have had four days off since a 2-1 shootout loss to the Vancouver Canucks on Sunday. Capuano said they have to come out strong after the lengthy layoff, something they failed to do in two such instances earlier this season, when they turned in poor efforts after breaks of three or more days. "We had a good hard skate [Wednesday], we worked on some power play and we had a little easier skate [Thursday],'' Capuano told Newsday. "Hopefully we come out [Friday] right out of the gate and play fast." New York begins a stretch of three games in four days before the Jan. 28-Feb. 1 All-Star break.
Senators team scope: Goalie Craig Anderson could get his second start in as many nights; he was relieved by Andrew Hammond after allowing four goals on seven shots in the first 13:56 of Ottawa's 6-3 loss at the New Jersey Devils on Thursday. The Senators trailed 5-0 after one period and never recovered in the finale of a five-game road trip. "I think we have to flush this one down the toilet," defenseman Erik Karlsson told the Senators website. "We play the Islanders [Friday], and they're going to be a good team. They're going to come in and play NHL hockey, and if we don't do the same, we'll get beat again." The Senators hope center Kyle Turris (lower body), a late scratch on Thursday, might be able to return. Defenseman Marc Methot (lower body) has missed the past two games.

NYIsland-Philadelphia Fly. 01:30 2,10 3,80 2,80
Flyers team scope: Philadelphia didn't practice Friday after losing 4-3 at the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday. Forward Sean Couturier (lower body) is day-to-day, though the Flyers hope he'll be able to play after sitting out Thursday. If Couturier can't, forward Sam Gagner is likely to play a second straight game after being recalled from Lehigh Valley of the American Hockey League. Philadelphia has lost back-to-back games to the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Penguins, and was outscored 5-1 at 5-on-5. "We've got another tough game in Brooklyn [on Saturday], and we've got to make sure and win that one because we've [wasted] points the last two games, which is obvious," forward Jake Voracek told CSNPhilly.com after the loss in Pittsburgh. "We can't hang our heads here." Mason allowed seven goals to Toronto and Pittsburgh; Michael Neuvirth could start.
Islanders team scope: Goalie Thomas Greiss is likely to start in the second of a back-to-back after Jaroslav Halak made 28 saves in a 5-2 victory at the Ottawa Senators on Friday. John Tavares, who had two points in his previous six games, set up Travis Hamonic's go-ahead goal 2:58 into the third period and scored his 16th of the season a little more than four minutes later. Kyle Okposo also scored during a third period when New York outshot Ottawa 14-4. "We want to carry this momentum forward," Tavares said after the Islanders won for the third time in four games.
