Detroit RW-Boston Bruins 21:30 2,30 3,80 2,50

Bruins team scope: Patrice Bergeron, who missed a 4-2 win against the Minnesota Wild on Saturday, with an undisclosed injury and remains day-to-day. Forward Brad Marchand was impressed with their performance without their leading scorer. "Whenever you lose a guy like [Bergeron], you can't replace him. But if everyone picks it up a little bit and plays a little bit better then you can fill that gap," Marchand said. "I thought we played a pretty sound game tonight and we got the two points, which is huge, and now we can move on." Marchand had a shorthanded goal and has a goal in six straight games and 11 of 12. Boston is 13-3-3 in its past 19 road games dating to Nov. 8. Coach Claude Julien, who won his 500th game Saturday, is one win shy of tying Pat Burns for 21st on the NHL all-time wins list.

Red Wings team scope: Defenseman Jonathan Ericsson missed practice Saturday with a lower-body injury and is questionable. Coach Jeff Blashill said Ericsson will be evaluated Sunday before a final decision about his availability is made. "He didn't finish the game [a 3-2 overtime loss to Colorado on Friday]," Blashill told the Detroit Free Press. "Today, we weren't going to push it at all, and then we'll see where he's at tomorrow. But I won't know any answers on that until tomorrow." Detroit recalled defensemen Xavier Ouellet from Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League. Peter Mrazek will make his third start against Boston this season. Brad Richards will play in his 1,100th NHL game.

Nashvil-Dallas Stars 02:00 2,40 3,80 2,40

Stars team scope: Seguin did not practice Sunday after leaving with 2:51 left in the third period of a 4-3 win against the Washington Capitals on Saturday, but is expected to play. He was cut on the arm by the skate of Capitals forward Nicklas Backstrom. Forward Cody Eakin also left the game in the third after being hit into the boards by Capitals defenseman Dmitry Orlov. The injuries will test their depth at center. "In the last minute, [Radek Faksa] was out there as a young centerman," coach Lindy Ruff told the Dallas Morning News. "We have a couple of guys banged up. Tyler took a skate to the arm and couldn't play anymore and Eakin couldn't play anymore so we were down to two centermen. I thought [Faksa] did a heck of a job for us, but it was a battle." Seguin had two goals on Saturday, becoming the first player in franchise history to score 30 or more goals in each of his first three seasons with the team. Dallas recalled forward Curtis McKenzie from Texas of the American Hockey League.

Predators team scope: Predators coach Peter Laviolette has not named a starter. Backup goalie Carter Hutton made 22 saves in a 5-0 win against the Florida Panthers on Saturday. "He's been great," Laviolette told the Nashville Tennessean. "There's no question. He's looked really good in there. He's done a good job." Starter Pekka Rinne allowed four goals in a 4-3 overtime loss against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Friday, the 13th time this season he has allowed at least four goals in a game. Nashville is 5-0-1 in its past six road games. Forward Calle Jarnkrok has four goals in his past five games skating with Ryan Johansen and James Neal.

Ottawa-Buffalo Sabres 01:30 2,10 3,80 2,80

Sabres team scope: Forward Evander Kane will not play after he slept in and missed practice on Monday. Coach Dan Bylsma told the Sabres website he was aware Kane attended the NBA All-Star Game in Toronto on Sunday after the Sabres matinee. Kane phoned to alert the Sabres that he was going to miss practice. "He could've made it to the game just fine and made it back," Bylsma said. "I'm disappointed." Kane has five goals his past six games. Goalie Robin Lehner will start and forward Johan Larsson is expected to return after missing two games with a lower-body injury. Lehner made 34 saves in a 4-1 home win against the Colorado Avalanche on Sunday, Buffalo's second straight win.

Senators team scope: Forward Mika Zibanejad (illness) and defenseman Mark Borowiecki (upper body) did not practice on Monday. Coach Dave Cameron told the Senators website each are day-to-day, and if Zibanejad can't play, a forward will be recalled from Binghamton of the American Hockey League. Forward Clarke MacArthur, who has been out with a concussion since Oct. 14, practiced, including contact. MacArthur may return to the lineup as early as next week. The Senators have lost three straight games since acquiring defenseman Dion Phaneuf to fall eight points out of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. "This is it this week," MacArthur said. "We need to have a good week, start chipping away and stay in the hunt and hope some of the other teams lose games. That's the position we've put ourselves in."

Calgary-Minnesota Wild 04:00 2,35 3,80 2,45

Wild team scope: Minnesota will try to win back-to-back games for the first time since Dec. 28-31. The Wild ended an eight-game losing streak with a 5-2 win against the Vancouver Canucks on Monday in John Torchetti's debut as interim coach. "They'll want to be hungry to come out and prove themselves again," Torchetti told the Wild website Monday. "But we just want them feeling good about themselves, and then we'll make our corrections and adjustments, and keep on improving and getting better." Goaltender Devan Dubnyk, who won for the first time in his past nine starts Monday, is the expected starter. He is 9-5-3 with a 2.23 goals-against average and a .922 save percentage in 18 career games against his hometown Flames.

Flames team scope: Defenseman Kris Russell will be further evaluated after a lower-body injury kept him out of the 6-4 loss to the Anaheim Ducks on Monday. Russell, who is second in the NHL with 174 blocked shots, is considered day-to-day. "We've shut him down," coach Bob Hartley told the Flames website. "We thought that he could play [Monday] and right in warm-up, as soon as he stepped on the ice for warm-up, we knew it was no-go." Forwards Mikael Backlund and Michael Frolik did not participate in practice Tuesday and are questionable. Goaltender Karri Ramo will undergo an MRI for a lower-body injury sustained against the San Jose Sharks on Thursday and is out indefinitely. Jonas Hiller will start in goal for the foreseeable future.

St.Louis Blues-L.A.Kings 02:00 2,30 3,80 2,50

Kings team scope: Los Angeles has lost two in a row and will play the sixth of a season-long seven-game road trip. The Kings opened the trip with a 9-2 win at the Boston Bruins but have scored eight goals in the past four games, including one in the past two. "We're getting lots (of chances)," Kings coach Darryl Sutter told L.A. Kings Insider. "You've got to make sure that's in your foundation." The Kings assigned goalie Peter Budaj to Ontario of the American Hockey League on Wednesday. He played one game while Jonathan Quick was out with a lower-body injury. Quick played Tuesday in a 3-1 loss at the Washington Capitals and is expected to start. Center Anze Kopitar has 11 points (four goals, seven assists) in the past nine games.

Blues team scope: Elliott will start a 16th consecutive game, which is an NHL career high. Elliott leads the NHL with a .933 save percentage and is 10-3-2 with a 1.67 goals-against average and .946 save percentage in 15 starts since Jake Allen was injured Jan. 8. "I'm not talking about the goalie," coach Ken Hitchcock said, not wanting to jinx the way Elliott's playing. "Write his number down, he plays next game. He'll be in on Thursday." The Blues are 5-1-1 in February but have scored two goals or fewer in five of those games. They've allowed one goal or fewer in five of the seven. St. Louis assigned forward Dmitrij Jaskin and goalie Pheonix Copley to Chicago of the American Hockey League on Wednesday and recalled goalie Jordan Binnington. Jaskin was a healthy scratch the past four games and did not have a point in the five previous games he played, and one goal in the past 14 games he played.

Montreal-Philadelphia Fly. 01:30 2,25 3,80 2,55

Flyers team scope: Gostisbehere looks to extend his 13-game point streak, a rookie record for an NHL defenseman. He has four goals and 12 assists over that span. Forward Brayden Schenn has goals in consecutive games. Second-year forward Nick Cousins has done a strong job stepping into the lineup with Sean Couturier sidelined with a lower-body injury. Playing at times on a line with Jakub Voracek and R.J. Umberger after coach Dave Hakstol mixed up his forwards against the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday, the 22-year-old scored his second NHL goal in a 6-3 victory. Cousins' first goal came three games prior when he also had an assist against the Buffalo Sabres. "The more you play, the better you feel," he told CSNPhilly.com after practice Thursday. "Every shift, especially early on in the game, you get your legs underneath you and you get a little bit of confidence."

Canadiens team scope: Montreal canceled practice Thursday after getting swept on a three-game road trip, being outscored 15-8 by the Buffalo Sabres, Arizona Coyotes and Colorado Avalanche. The Canadiens, though, have averaged 3.17 goals over their past six games and are winners of three straight at Bell Centre. Forward Lars Eller scored against Colorado after being put on a line with captain Max Pacioretty, but Montreal lost 3-2 on a goal late in the third period. "Hopefully we can build some more chemistry together back home," Eller told the Canadiens website after the game. "I think it was a step in the right direction for us as a team compared to last game in [Arizona], for sure. We played concentrated for 58 minutes, then one mistake and we pay for it. We worked hard for 58 minutes and it's a disappointing outcome."
