I went on Party Poker this morning and none of the players names were coming up. On every table it was saying Player1 Player2 Player3 etc... Why is this ??

yeah they are kinda moving to anonymous sites and all, most sites nowadays do it to counter the software that is HEM and poker tracker and all and in a sense get the fish to stay and play and lose money to the house and all , so good luck if you want to keep it up you will have to adjust your play and becomes more reliant on the game play and all, so good luck have fun and do succeed in your poker career, chears peace out!

Nice explanation IQA. The principle is to stop players deciding who to play against before they decide which table to sit at. It prevents shark type players hunting weak fishes. The aim is work it out at the table you are placed at, just like it happens in live clubs. It's to level out the playing fields.
