Do Ticket-Entered tournaments pay rakeback/VIP points?  0
I'm having a dispute with a guy on another forum.

He is expecting to be awarded rakeback/VIP Points (or whatever) for entering tournament who gained access by winning satellites the same way are paid back those people who buyin directly to target tournaments with their cash.

I think that ticket-entered tournaments would not pay rakeback. A ticket was won, not cash. It'd be different if you won cash and used that to buy in.

He is complaining about a pokerroom not awarding him rakeback and so m opinion in some way defend pokerroom behaviour.

So, on a side note, he is also accusing me to be paid from the room to speak as I did, so would really like to give him "answers" he deserves.

May you please share your experiences about this matter? How do pokerrooms you attends work?

Thanks in advance for your hep

Depends on the site and the kind of ticket.

For instance, if I win a ticket on party, the value will say $5.50 which is $5 cash and $0.50. In this instance I would expect to get points for the rake.

Always look at the value of the ticket (they nearly always have a value attached). If the value includes rake, then points get awarded for the rake.
If the value is the cost of the ticket with no rake (which I think is quite rare), then no points will be awarded.

(Usually).

Give me the details (site, value of ticket etc) and I will tell you how it stands

Yup, it's totally up to the sites. Most of them rewards tickets too with points since it's included in the 'price' already. Even if the satellite where u have get your ticket was a freeroll 4 example.

... Big Smile< I cannot say for sure about any sites OTHER than partypoker,...but on there,.ANY ticket you use, whether it be won from a satellite, by depositing,...or however,...you WILL receive an equal amount of partypoints as you would from using REAL money...!

I don't know of any of the at LEAST 100 tickets I've won one way or another, and used that I didn't get points for...! Thumbs Up

I know the policy of that site (is the one I "defend" in my "opponent" opinion).

I just would like to know the general behaviour of other pokerrooms in this matter.

In my experience of a lot of sites, they nearly always award points for rake as if it is a normal buyin

Yea as they said it is up to the site.
You can try this by playing in the cake poker where they are awarding the most points for
everything, paid weekly in your account.
The downside on this of course is, that you are not gonna cash out the money lol.

Still nothing from them, pathetic.
