Living as a pro....  +1
I play a lot sit n gos and offcourse every day you see the same people.
So with some you say hi, how youre doin ect...

After some time you know the person a little bit, there style with poker, where he/she lives ect...

So i know this guy (i dont want to mention his name) from french and now living with his girlfriend in asia and playin full time poker 12/15 hours a day.
He gets rakeback 30% a month whats sometin like $750 in his case.
He gets bonusses cos he is high in leaderboards thats 2 times $500 in his case so $1,000.
What i can see at his sharkscope, he is a winning player making average $1,000+ a month.
So $750 rakeback + $1,000 bonusses + $1,000+ profit makes almost $3,000 a month.

So he is playin sit n gos 12/15hours a day every day and makes sometin like $3,000 a month (maybe more).

His living costs are very low cos he is livin in asia so he makes a livin out of it.
When his bankroll gettin higher he want to go up in limits...

So you like this idea of moving to a ''cheap'' country and make a livin out of poker?
I wud Smile

Nah I wouldn't. I play poker just for the fun, I dont want to make a living out of it Blink Althought it would be fun to earn enough with it!

Hey doomdy, I just came home from AdamXXX man I love that city Big Smile

About your idea, it's actually something I've thought of lately. I know a group of danish low roller pro's allmost made their own village now somewhere in Thailand, I think they are 20-25 NL100-400 players. They play 6-7 hours everyday(weekend off) and live like kings or so they say Big Smile

People who wants to enjoy life, that doesn't have any specific demands, exspectations or ambitions of life other than enjoying life will like this idea(maybe not the 12-15h thing Smile )

I don't think I could live with the climate in Thailand but 1/2 year would be great. Sadly girlie is studying so it will have to wait. But I would love to travel the world while playing, 3 months here and there man that would be great. Especially since it's pretty exspensive to live in DK so anywhere else would just make me richer Tongue

I wouldn't, if I were to become a professional poker player than I'd move to Las Vegas Smile That seems where all the pros go. It does sound like a good idea but I don't know. I wouldn't want to sit in front of the computer all day.

Indeed. How much of a 'kings-life' do you have when you sit behind your computer 10 hours a day playing poker, all week long (sorry for the people who do..). I'd rather want a normal life with my girlfriend Smile

Thats sounds great. Asia has good food food and very cheap living. And still its only a plane ride home. If i would get homesick after some cold rainy wheater or even snow Big Smile Big Smile
Ive been thinking alot about just that You dont have to be rich on poker lets say you make 50€ a day 7 days a week. by playing poker. That gives me the a decent salary per month. And if you live in a cheap country that could make you a king Smile Worship Worship

The idea is great but the step to do is too big for me.
I make (incl bonusses and rakeback) sometin like $750/$1000 a month with poker so thats way too short to get a living out of poker.
But i like the idea. But i only consider it if i had a decent bankroll like $25,000 and make profit like $4000/$5000 a month...

Dont know if my girlfriend likes the idea lol Big Smile
She have to quit her job and lay down on the beach al day Worship Worship Worship

...and along comes the downswing with you having to clean up the beach and having a king's life collecting garbage...

The idea of living from the poker money is an interesting idea. but moving to a foreign country is not. Denmark is a great country to live in. The Tax is too high but life here is g8 Smile

Try 5-7 hours a day with weekends off, work and viacations when you feel like it and twice the salary of a normal school teacher who works 7-8 hours a day. This is the life of a decent lowroller. Less hours, higher salary more freedom I like it
Cool

I live with my girlfriend who's studying to be a nurse and I live a pretty normal life except I sleep a bit more than "normal" people Big Smile But a normal life has never attracted me so I only keep it "normal" for girlies sake.

I allways wondered most people seek to be normal.....why?

If you want to play life!

For online poker maybe not the best option. Blink

If you don't want to go to southeast asia maybe some east european countrys are an option.

Nahh, i think its pointless, the only benafit is that you can pretend you rich in a poor country, with dirty water, unhealthy life styles etc, there are plenty of places were you would instantly become "rich" but what do you have to give up?

Exactly B1gfoot what do you have to give up.....for me: bad weather, high tax and see the family less. Sounds great 2 me Smile Only thing holding me back is my girl who's everything to me.
