Okay - first thing you need to know. This protest/strike is organized mostly from Supernova Elites and Supernovas who play(played) hyper turbo SNGs. Why? Beacuse they are mostly breakeven players who made most of their profit from rakeback.
As Supernova Elites had 82% rakeback - they would make 50 000 - 100 000 VPPS a month with no profit. Their profit were the FPPs they would receive and change them for cash.
Now, from 2016 max rakeback is capped at 35% - and as they lose more then half of their profits - they organize strikes and mask if as a attempt to save the future of online poker... lol In fact - they only worry about themselves.
For us - non Supernova/Supernova elite players - things remain pretty much the same. No more stellar rewards, but 4 1Million freerolls a year and better promotions.

you are wrong is so much thing... you are not informed... first supernova and supernova elite will not recive any rakeback from cash game higher than 5/10$ also for rest of things they decrease rakeback on other things for them... I am silverstar, with atention to become gold on this month, which I will probavly become... and this effected me a lot as silver star... I have to pay more to play ( I will recive less value of starcoins like near 60% lower than now, also if I dont do step I will get half of starcoins... thats one more decrease... next thing is silverstar freeroll that they cancel and only put 20k one on the end of the month... also they removed stellar revords, so they took more money from me from there, and what they gived to me as silver star? NOTHING...and if you say this is better for you, no matter what status you have, only because stars say so, than you are retarded...

Who the hell plays cash games higher then 5$/10$?? Only nanonoko/negraeanu/Elky kind of guys who are under PS sponsorship or guys like Isildur who dont care about rakeback.
Starscoins value is going do drop for aroud 20% (not 60% as you state), but you will earn them easier. Example: My first step in 2016 is to make 100 VPPs and I'll receive 275 Starcoins for that. Before this for 100 VPPs I would receive 150 FPPs as a Silverstar. Do the math, please.
You can support the changes or you can be against them, but organizing protests/strikes in the name of ''future of online poker'' is the most stupid thing to do. You are not their worker who got his salary decreased or you are somehow obliged to play there.
If you dont suport their changes move on - there are a ton of other sites who offer even a 70% rakeback to anyone. Go play there, no one forces you to play on PS.
Protesting for this is like your favorite supermarket or restaurant increases prices and you send them emails and prostest for that?? like wtf? You just move on to another shop/restaurant or you decide to stay there beacuse even with the new changes they still remain better then competition.

first of all they are playing 100/200$ and more... they wouldnt bother with 5/10... second 5/10 are playing a lot of players... more than thousands... about that you say only 20% is increase rake by starcoins, you are wrong.. thats what pokerstars is telling you, but please tell me how much starcoins you will recive if you make 90 VPP's per month, if your step is 100VPP per 275 starcoins, and tell me how much you would take if you made 90 VPP's without vip changes???

Were do i find info on the "better promotions" part? As of late there promos are s**t and bonuses next to none. Would love to hear what kind of promotions there gonna run

Bonusses were never the strong point for Stars. Everyone after those should try the networks (iPoker, Microgaming). But traffic there has taken a severe hit, too. So it may take some time to clear them.

If you have money in a site the bets thing is not to provoke them. Like the pci for an avatar i saw here. They have the right to ban you, for many reasons if you have read the rules, which are present and almost the same in all sites. SO you will lose your money.. Now if you have withdrew, and you want out of there, once and for all, then thats another story

Agree. Let's not try to pretend that PS had awesome promos in the past. They always had something going for the pennyf*ckers, but ever since their inception they are init for maximising their profit. Boo-hoo 4 taking away freerolls, rewards and inflating their point system. There are plenty pokersites to choose from, but in hindsight let me tell you those aren't gonna treat you better anyway. No company is running a gambling charity here, no companies disappearing promos worth my strong crocodile tears.

this is the stupidest thing to do. this could be accountable as self-exclusion which mean that your account your be permanently closed and you may regret 1-2 years later. poker was killed the day casino was up. for a seasoned player that play nothing but tourneys i don't care for such changes. boycott now, cry later
