Hey guys! Good luck at the tables to all of the forum regulars! I'm feeling really good today pokerwise and considering how my week has been IRL, I would really need to catch a break and get some cash!
Just got destroyed by a real cooler lol. I was UTG +3, I get JJ so I raise 2.5x to 1500 (with about 14k chips behind). So it folds to big blind (who has about 18k chips) who decided to smooth call with QQ.
Flop comes QJ4 with 2 diamonds. I do a small c-bet of 1200 chips, obviously he raises to 7k, I shove he calls. Really didn't expect him to have QQ considering he didn't 3bet pre flop
Atleast I got that 109$ ticket in the other freeroll

I wouldn't say he was a fish. Not re-raising his queens there is definetly questionable, but I believe he was scared that I would 4bet shove if he did. (and I probably would have done that, unless his 3bet is too big and I don't have any fold equity) He was probably scared that I had KK, AA or AK and didn't want to race or be dominated which is understandable.
The flop was just a setup though. Especially qith QJ of diamonds on the flop, when he raises it feels like he could be on a diamond draw or a K10, 910 or something like that.
Anyways, even phil hellmuth would've lost his stack there

Stuck at 17 players left for AGES now! Currently sitting in 5th so I'm fairly confident I'll at least get ITM.
------------ I saw that hand TheMachine! That must have really sucked to go out in that way! I mean, you were pret high up the ranks, if you had to lose that hand, why couldn't it have been to one of the lower stacks? Too bad! But hey, anyone would have made that play so nothing wrong with how you played it

Just unlucky, just like you said. Even Pillie would lose his stack.
Was nice chatting with you and erru at the tables
Made it to the last 17 now. 19K stack, hope to reach the Final table

Busted 13th. Had AK with 7 BB left. Shove pre flop, get called bij AJ suited. K on the flop, het gets his flush on the turn. To bad i didn't make the FT.

Just finished in 8th place. Erru's AA stuffed me when I was super short stacked with KQ. Always happens. Great game . Good luck to the rest of the FT'ers.

Sorry damosk, but I wasn't laying down AA, not even for a forum reg

No need to be sorry ERRU , I would have done exactly the same and played to win. I had been pretty much card dead for the previous half an hour or so and KQ was too good to ignore given how my stack had dwindled. I was relatively please with 8th given the circumstances and I am sure you were happy with third and a nice prize. Well done.
Erru will probably agree with me that he got lucky to go that deep, surviving some 35% hands where he shoved K3 suited UTG with 5 BBs left and got called by a big stack with A10 (if my memory's right) Standard shove there UTG but still, tournament poker is all about not losing the pot where your life is at risk.
A chip and a chair is very true, never give up and don't play tight when you have a small stack because it can always turn around pretty quickly. Erru chose his spots and did what he had to do to rebuild his stack, he didn't wait to get blinded out...
