Posted by Avalonn: I believe there is already a poll somewhere about this. Anyway, the only one I ever used was Poker Office, and I liked it
probably this also wont be the last poll i believe the release of pokertracker 3 and holdem manager might have changed some peoples view on this topic.
if the last poll was recent however: please just ignore this thread and tell me who won

Poker office is a good program. If you feel like you have to use one. I personally perfer not to use any software. I usually remember the opponents that are any good and try to avoid them

I have used Poker office but not any more. I agree that the brain is where poker is played. calculating, deciding, feeling etc. you will be a better poker player in the beginning with a poker program but it will not take you to the next level. It will give you valuable information when learning. But at some point in time you have to start playing poker If you watch the pro's at pokertube, tv etc. you will see that they can the % information for a given hand. they do not use a poker program!

haha! thanks for the input folks! i actually did not plan to replace my brain. but i believe its a good thing when you can look at your last 10 000 hands and get proper statistics what hands have won you money and what lost you some. also you might find opponents leaks better. oh! and i love colourfull graphs!
im using a trial at moment and have like 5000 hands collected so far. hands i loose most with are offsuited aces. even tho i am surprised: it makes sense. i have a weak concept to play offsuited aces. of course the software does nothing further, but i find this pretty helpfull already and can develope new ideas what to do with offsuited aces.
also: my pocket aces won 100 % of the time! obviously rigged!

Iv only used pokertracker and a few searches on sharkscope, but most ppl iv spoke to about this say PT is by far the better software (than PO) I had a few problems to start with but all is good now.

Is that just for PS tho? LOL, when I can play like Phil Ivey ill remove PT untill then i will settle for my second brain. "PT3 is far more advanced but less user friendly compared to PokerOffice." do you say its friendly cus its less intensive (iv found at 4 tables (was 3) it crashes(PT3), or just easyer to reed data etc.
i choose holde'm manager, you get everything in just one program. with pokertracker you have to get all the additional programs to get like the graphs and the in-game stats and everything. but with HM you get all of that and you don't need to config every individual program to your preferences .
