welcome to BankrollMob , I do not think you can earn points if you refer this site to your friends , I'm not sure but I recommend this site to my friends I did not get the points , perhaps early this option is given points so members get points but not now

Of course you can earn points by referring. Check in your personal page to see the program and the payment table. In order for you to get awarded the points, your referral must be approved by brm. Clicking your link only is not enough.

Exactly. He should get to register his/her account first, then ask for approvement from BRM - to make sure he/she is a legit new user. Then you will get the points.
