Psychology or mathematics in poker  0
The mentality in how to take this game is very important when we are more responsible we will have in how to immerse ourselves in this world the theme is that although we believe that we are responsible a game like poker so appealing puts this primordial principle in play as this is the Question to try so that in the near future it is positive to penetrate in this area and not that it becomes something nefarious and perverse

On the side of mathematics and statistics.
The more you try to analyze poker regarding psychology and relate it to life and all those other things you realize that there is no end and all the time you will find a reason for what has happened in your game and that reason is going to Go changing again and again ...

Instead with math and a good analysis of stats, you can achieve wonders.

Although psychology influences something in poker is not the great thing compared to the potential that gives you what I just mentioned above.

... Big Smile< ...The term Mandelbrot set is used to refer both to a general class of fractal sets and to a particular instance of such a set. In general, a Mandelbrot set marks the set of points in the complex plane such that the corresponding Julia set is connected and not computable.

"The" Mandelbrot set is the set obtained from the quadratic recurrence equation

z_(n+1)=z_n^2+C
(1)
with z_0=C, where points C in the complex plane for which the orbit of z_n does not tend to infinity are in the set. Setting z_0 equal to any point in the set that is not a periodic point gives the same result. The Mandelbrot set was originally called a mu molecule by Mandelbrot. J. Hubbard and A. Douady proved that the Mandelbrot set is connected.

oh yea sure ....keep it going

Poker is a game of skill and using the ability to read situations and opponents to give you the advantage in each hand you play.

It is also a game of mathematics, where you should be able to calculate the odds of either you or your opponent winning the hand in any situation.

Aww crap! Aww crap! Aww crap! Aww crap!

Of course there's a lot of psychology involved in poker, even in online poker. You can use agression to make other players make mistakes.

Mathematics help of course but some players manage to do will with very basic understanding of maths and ranges, beacause of simple betting dynamics and psychology. Of course the best players in the world are all pretty good at everything and know what type of hands should be used to semi-bluff ect.

I just couldn't resist making a comment on this thread, having told myself not to comment on any more waoz threads but I just couldn't resist the temptation. I'm just wondering how many more pages of books you have let to replicate here at the BRM forum from words of other people who you may not accredit their work too?

I think everyone is aware that being able to control their emotions is key to their success not only in the game of poker but also in life. It doesn't take a genius to figure that out. Yet it is easily said than done.
