Sometimes i think the poker gods are having big laughs up there. Last nite i Decided to do some serious poker. So i deposited 100$ and found a good game on 0.5/1 nl holdem 6players
So i sat down. I played well and learn how my oppunents were playing. the blind passed around three times and i had my highest stack 141$ Then i got the Pocket rockets the big As. I was sitting on the button and the table had call around so i decided to do serious raise made it 3x the pot. 20 $ I got 2 callers so the pot is almost 80$
Flop comes 6 6 6 Hmm didnt like that flop one bit so i made 1/2 pot raise and to my suprize both players calls. turn A that card i like alot. First caller pushes all his chips in 35$ 2nd caller thinks a long long time before calling leaving a stack of almost 100$ in front of him. I dont think to long before i push in whats left of my stack almost 80$ The second player call directly. player 1 shows A K player 2 shows Q 6 me shows A A turn shows 5 How the hell can someone call a$20 raise pre with Q6 off?????

Sure poker can really kick you in the balls sometimes. But it makes no sence in making a call with q6. I had watched and learnt and touhgt it was somewhat tight table. Sure that guy had won some hands on raises after turn. But that was only when he limped in But i can imagine that he Made that call thinking he could bluff me out at some point. And then got really really lucky on flop

How could he make that call? I don't know. But how could you be in this game in the first place? NL100 with a 100 buck deposit??? Just asking to get busted.

yes bankroll management is all important.its tempting to play big tables and go for it but reality is poker is a dog sometimes.Q6is wrong call,BUT,what we dont know is how much in his account, was that it or thousands, online $100 is nothing to some players even realy bad ones.was he multitabling and got cracked with AA or KK on a few tables and was tilting didnt care and called, got lucky.why bankroll is important if you were playing lower limits with 20%of your cash ytou could have won it back easy with solid play.i beat isnt enough to go by.bad luck tho,Q6 thats cruel.variables suck.

Posted by redlad101: With $100 you should play max stakes of .05/.10. next time you deposit just play 4 tables with $10 on each and you can escape a bit of the variance.
I have my bankroll on Neteller. Because i have that account in my currency. That way i know how much money i got. Becasue 35000 skr sure feels better then only $5000. I only deposit what im willing to loose for that session. My girlfriend has the password for neteller so i cant make another deposit without asking her. I´ve had a somewhat big bankroll once then run into some bad beats and lost almost the whole thing. But know im building it all up again without risking going broke So know you now

yes that second caller should be shot dead, no trail no jury just shot, what a tool, i hate that, i dont mind getting beaten by a better hand but when you get burnt like that and by an inbred hack who isnt even ready for the beginers tables, makes my blood boil
------------ i can assure you, if he makes calls like that hes stack couldnt be that large either, or if it is it wont be for long.

maybe, maybe not, but we all have simalar storys to tell, i was a little hard on the second caller as i have been that second caller more times than i care to remember (playing tired, drunk, bored) though i cant remember getting that lucky.
your main problem is not the hand itself, you can lost money even with AA, but the thing is that your bankroll was too small for playing the stakes you were playing. So if you have a bad beat, like you did, you lose all your money. Bad beats happens.

your right about the bankroll managment, but theres nothing wrong with having a crack now and then, if everyone used the right bankroll managment poker would be a very boring game.
