Sorry boys and girls your boy TheIrish77 is a choke artist apparently. Played A8 all in and got caught by pocket 8's. Bricked the board and am out 16th this time for 48.57. no need to play this hand and i just got jumpy. no excuses just don't seem to handle the pressure.
F**k me now this just lost to 74 for the bubble of the Sunday Storm qualifier with QQ hits miracle trip 4 to knock me out. FML i need a break and something positive. Finished 9th for 50 star coins. F**k you poker very much.

Well its almost go off myself time. How many fucking times can i get this close and blow up?
Made final table twice in one week of the Hot 0.55cent on Stars with chip lead on final table and finished 7th both times.
Last time had plenty of chips and blew up finished 22nd and now 16th. i don't understand how for so long play almost perfect then blow up.
I might just not be cut out for this after all. can't hold the ship together when the captain is falling apart.

i dont know why you played any hand when you were 2nd... you got guaranteed ticket... even i told you 5 times to fold evry hand in sat... and you continue to play, and thats why you got kicked off as bouble boy... next time fold evry hand

You need to get that TILT under control m8, still great day for you but coz of the tilt it could have been far better, i know its hard not to tilt even the best players some times tilt, but this time u should have get it under control for the sake of the other tournament Anyway great job bud as always

This literally happened with me multiple times IRL - once you in it you won't notice that you should change your strategy in order get your goal stressless...

Another nice finish for you and i dont think that you should be too hard on yourself for not going further. Its always frustrating when you go out of any tournament but you probably would have taken sixteenth at the start.

The Irish. Well done on your achievements. The current issue? Knowing when to play and when not to play when it comes to the business end of the tourney?
Well..... different approaches for different outcomes.
If it's a game where the top 8 for example get the same outcome, i.e. A ticket, you really need to only play premium hands (while you are safe) and take no risks, to guarantee your ticket or pay finish, there is no value in coming first! 8th will suffice.
In a game where the winner gets the biggest prize (normal tourney) then your issue is knowing when to call with the right hands. In the example you give, it seems increased patience is the key. If you are playing A8 and you think this is a risk, with no real considered thought behind it, then you are probably playing the wrong hand. Keep to good solid poker. If playing A8 is the correct play in the given situation, and it is a considered and correct play, but you just so happen to get busted by a pair of 8's, then that is poker. There is no need for TILT. Start to accept that this will happen. I had a great hand of a A high flush the other day in the first hand of a tourney, only to get busted by villain hitting a full house on the river. In another I had KK v 77 and a 7 hit on the river. (we were all in by the turn) I was completely happy with my play and knew I had played the hand well. So NO TILT. In my humble opinion, TILT Is worse when you know you have played a bad hand and lose, and your mind is probably more annoyed with yourself for your stupid play than the probability that is poker! Don't get messed up over probability. It exists and there is nothing you can do about it.
Patience and consideration are the things to focus on. Keep the faith. Even world champions lose. It's just that they play Far more than you and therefore probability says they will win more! You seem to be doing well amongst mobsters so keep playing well and focus on the right things to improve.

Making such a profit from a 1 dollar buy in, is a very good result. And the amount of players playing this one was high. 1700+ entries. Finishing 16th is an achievement of its own You have what it takes to be in the money all the time, and mostly to the final table, and thats what matters. So if its not this one, it will be the next one Better luck on your next tries.

Thanks Mober, I'm still pretty bummed out by that action yesterday and decided i wouldn't play at all today. Just chilling out smokin some bomb Weed and enjoying some Game of thrones GOT baby all day long!!! thanks for kind words
Thanks also to SBEP and STheP(Thanks for railing) for the reality harsher words.
I should know better by this point that when I'm this deep I can't be nearly as aggressive as I am typically throughout with bigger chip stacks than my opponents. I always have chips to play with and make deep runs quite often but I'm throwing away so much profit that could really set me up for something much bigger. I know I have the skill and talent to play with anyone on any given day and don't doubt that for one second. Just something happens and i hope it just lack of experience at this point but to get this close so often and come up short due to my own VERY BAD PLAYS late in toruneys.
I'll be back at it tomorrow Friday The 13th!!! and will hopefully have some interesting stuff to update on and some Big payouts soon to come.
Good luck all and have a great day whatever you're up 2.
