Been a while since I visited this site. Was wondering what happened to those offers where you make a $50 (or more) deposit, and once you collect a certain number of points you get 5000 points from Bankroll mob? I remember successfully doing that with 2-3 poker rooms, and finishing with well more than my $50 deposited, so it was a win-win. Would definitely like to see more of those

hi Marble42 buddy I'm not sure that's really true what you saying,I think you're wrong, you needs to collect 5,000 points than you get $ 50 but you have write in forum to collect points, perhaps this was a long time ago perhaps I am wrong It would be good if some of the older members write something about this

He is talking about the good old gift offers
They were really really good; generally they worked as follow: join site xxx deposit xx$ and accomplish a certain target ( usually a really easy target) and you will receive 5000 mob points in your account (worth $50).
Unfortunately there are no more of that kind of offers running lately but many other nice ones are available.

These were old promotions when the bonuses in poker rooms had peaked. With the remaining poker rooms, country restrictions and amount of money in bonuses given lately in general, in all the poker world, i find this hard to happen again.
how I envy those people who are just starting to play poker, and their registration in the various poker rooms are derived from BRM .. I unfortunately when I came on this site that many of the proposals were not available to me

@magatt966, yeah, it was a thing a few years ago. I remember taking 3 of such offers. It was very interesting, the grind, and the sense of completion at the end. I guess a lot has changed in the poker world in the meantime :/

I would like to new and interesting proposals from BRM .. but most of all I would like to start a new series of freerolls in the poker room or what .. it's such an interesting race and I would like to start it again

Yeah a lot of changes to poker market has happened: seems like the new era of casino/slots has come and overcame poker sector.
Anyway just noticed that if you browse to bonus page here
there is still the option to filter all offers with gift offers option but unfortunately if you check that one the only answer you get is: " Nothing found - please try a different search... "
I remember these gift offers, they were pretty nice. They made sure players would play on the site too not just try to abuse promotions and withdraw right away It was nice to have the 5000 mobpoints once you finish clearing the bonus, it was a way to make sure you don't lose money.
But I don't think this kind of offers are still available. Maybe they will in the future who knows.

Exactly, fair point... I believe back then poker was more popular in general? I know this site for once had more action going on? More interesting topics being posted in the forums? More involvement?
What happened to the poker industry in the meantime? I know I spoke to some people who own an affiliate-based site, and they told me they get nothing out of poker affiliation? Is this a global thing?
If it is, wouldn't offering such gifts that would make people play for longer periods of time (grinding) improve the situation? Although I guess there is a complete science behind it somewhere...

maybe back then more people were 'fish' so would loose the bonus. id like a bonus, even to lose it - but maybe now more serious players so the sites arent so willing to give freebies to feed the 'sharks' instead of the 'fish'
but such bonuses would be amazing. and i am jealous of those that got to participate

The industry has shrunk of course and this is the main reason. At first poker was free in almost all countries, so there were too many players online at any given time. And with the number of poker rooms there were up, affiliates could win more than with what is left today.

At that time, it was easy to make initial bankroll, not take long to get 5000 points now it's a lot harder,as for the players I see that in some poker rooms have a standard large number of players I do not know how many were in the past but over 100 000 players is good number

These promos are only meaningful if you are depositing a sum after u register - many members here who is generaly after NDB and such - does not like that part tbh.

You are in to play and win. And if you can get a profit by depositing why not. Either way, the way things are today, if you are not willing to deposit, you cant get far, when it comes to promotions. And still there are plenty out there worth your money, since it is safe depositing in plenty of sites, where you can have a good return.
