Was running a $25 Freeroll when one of mine's super hot friends called me to have a coffee with me. I was like.... sure why not... left the freeroll FREER0LL rolling sitting out.
When I came back I had reached the FT and won $1. Run the hand replays and found myself winning a big pot sitting out.
And I almost got them both already in the FT ..... hilarious....
It's Nice for you but i gotta say i hate Sites that let people take part in hands when they're not even there every site should handle it like Pokerstars where your hands are dead as long as you're sitting out

They actually don't.... It's like ... if you are not there when it starts and are AFK for 2 hands U are out. There is no late registration and if you are spotted sitting out for 5 or 6 hands before the 1st brake you are out as well...
But after the break (meaning the rebuy period and addons are over) ... you can sit out from there on.

well as much as i expected some real magic from your side and a totally new strategy of winning tournaments by sitting out (which i must admit would be to my liking) i was a little disappointed by reading that you only got itm and not won the whole tourney... still great, the main problem is that you returned too quickly form the meeting with you super hot friends as you say... girlfriend i hope...

I saw it sometimes in Freerolls, that a sitouter reach a place in the money. Some sites like Everest kicked out sitouter in tourneys after a while, but for me it was ok when a player sitout after some hours. But for players which don't play only one hand it was not ok in my opinion.

Of course I had to play some hands before to get that FT... As far as I remember I was like 6th of 56 left or something like that when I went out... and had to battle with other 500 players.
So as far as I believe, I earned it. I would probably get a better spot at the FT if I didn't get out
I register in freerolls to play them, I was not expecting not to.... it was an emergency
One dollar is still one dollar and it can be used to pay for a game in an interesting tournament ... I congratulate you on your win and wish you luck in the future game .... PS. With an ace and a weak kicker, I usually do not play (but it's me, and you play as you like)
Congratulations H4rm0ny for having hot chicks begging to date you
Just kidding, congratulations on the win it's always nice to win a freeroll no matter how it happened. Freerolls sometimes feel like a waste of time but when you bink one it's always fun anyways.
Good luck with that nice little bankrollbooster and have fun with it!

Found the title odd, when i read it. Hardly unlikely you can win a tournament while sitting out. You must be heads up for this and thats not the only condition.
It is another thing winning a tournament, and another thing, winning in a tournament

Ha ha funny how you can win prize by sitting out, maybe I need to do same thing in the tournaments where i play, i try to do many things but sitting out didn't think of this strategy of course no guarantees by using it, but who knows maybe i be better player by using it.
In some tournaments, it's enough to make a registration and do other things ... and at this time there is a game and people are fighting for a victory .... knocking out each other and people are getting less ... and here's the result: winning is not playing

Yep! It's official. Cashing out is winning! Oh hang on a minute..... aren't we all taught that winning is getting to number one spot when there is no one else left to play against? Yes, of course it is..... winning is not coming second, min cashing is not winning.... it is losing! We do not play poker to lose!

Yes me too think that I read something wrong and the title says that he won the tournament and by sitting outnwhich was very interesting to me how he can do that, but when reading i saw that he finished inm the money only, not hard to do if you have good amount of chips and go to something and leave the tournament

As other fellow mobsters mentioned above, technically, you didn't win the tournament; You got in the money while being absent from the table. That doesn't happen very often. I think lady luck was on your side! Next time you are going to take the whole thing down!

I think i should start sitting out and then i might be able to win something for a change!! These tournaments are so time consuming that you can sometimes have no option but to sit out due to other commitments

It happens from time to time in a tournament to make it in the money. Not a big win, just the last places. But getting paid while you didnt actually play is better than nothing. And of course we are talking about freerolls, since it doesnt worth to buy in and sit out.

Is happen sometime but casino don't like when you win like that, playing position is also a valid strategy you play your money like you want. Be aware algorithm always win in final!
