Sands Casino fined almost $40K for underage gambling

Another casino has to pay up tens of thousands of dollars as their punishment for allowing an underage gambler into their premises. The underage gambler, Rose Jacqueline Bach, age 20, resident of South Plainfield, New Jersey, was found at 1:10am, Sunday, April 30, by the Pennsylvania State Police on the gaming floor of Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem. Funny thing this is, it is no honey, why do youngsters are so attracted to casino's and gambling? Most of the times people just lose money in a casino so what is the big deal, there are only few people who can say they won big, all know that you probably will lose

These fines do seem rather large and you must have a little bit of sympathy for this casino. If these people produce fake I.D.'s, it is very difficult for a busy casino to pick them out

so did these guys and gals offer the casino personnel fake id's as well or was the staff too lazy this time? or maybe it was competition that sent a few kids to their nemesis in order to paint them all black and even get punished in the process?

yeah,we cant see in this article is this mistake from casino or they had fake ID and they enter at casino as normal!if they had fake ID,then casino cant be punished and kids should go in prison, but if casino didnt ask them anything, then its right to punish them!

Again another casino fined. This time the fine was higher, but may be, cause its
a different country, different rules etc.
Surprising they have legal age for gambling 21.
Here the limit is 18 years old, both for drinking and gambling.

I certainly like this news only happy ..... if the casino is ready to turn a blind eye to violations in order to obtain benefits, they certainly deserve this fine completely .... I wonder if any of these young people won a large sum that he probably would have been banished

If they are top when it comes to revenue then I am hundred percent sure they will not have problems shelling out 40k to pay these fines. More underage gambling news making rounds will mean more free advertising to this establishment. Great.

I think too that this fine is small amount of money to casino which is biggest in revenues, so not going to cry ankut this, but some employee can be fired because of bad work. Here in our city it is illegal to gamble in casino's under 21, but those guys sit in betting shops with friends and place bets on live sports and virtual dogs or horses

thats why in europe you are undera age if you have less then 18!with 18 you can drive, drink, vote on elections and bet or gamble!so this law in america, that you must have 21 is stupid!its ver nigh!but americans are special in lot of ways!

Well actually in US of A you dont have to be 21 in order to drive.
It goes as low as 14 years of age, in some states to get a license, not a full one, but still.
Thats what is stupid.
Another fine example of what happens, when stupid politicians and regulators taking over....

I don't have anything against people who are driving cars before they could order a glass of whiskey legally in a bar, because people over sixty are worse at driving than they are, but only one group out of these two are voting and that is the real scary fact, not the age limits...

I doubt a 40,000$ fine really does anything to a casino's bottomline at the end of the year lol. Anyways it's their fault for not training their employees properly and letting this happen. Casinos and private corporations get away wtih a lot because of their money. It's sad but it's the world we live in, money rules!

See you mobsters

It's sick because in a lot of countries 20 yrs is allow in casinos and anything related to gambling but rules are rules and as mentioned above it makes casinos staff's work more tough if they are giving fake IDs in order to get access there...

What is going to happen to the underage gamblers who sneaked in the casino? Are they required to pay the fine as well for underage gambling and drinking? If so, how much will it be? A couple of hundred dollars?

Sometimes it was not so easy for a casino, they check the id, but what can they do when the young players have a stolen passport? But i ask me why they know it after a big winning... It looks not verry serious, when they make a intensive id check only after a big winning.

lol the casino here never i.ds anyone there is not even security at the door people just walk in maybe these guys should invest in some more security at the doors so underage people cannot get in ....and even if ur underage and u win big u will not get it since yhey ask you for i.d
